DVC'ers....what does your screen name mean?

Mine's fairly boring too - my name, the resort we own at, and the year we purchased (2K = 2000).

My name came from Lord of the Rings. It's a big hit at our house. Last summer we had a Disney party with friends who love the mouse. Our invitation stated we were having a Fellowship of the mouse gathering. So when I had to come up with a screen name, my oldest dd helped me come up with the name with that theme. I think the ring bearer part is because I'm the planner.

My name came to me after a REALLY bad day! My boss had ripped me apart at school, and when I tried to log onto this board, I couldn't get on, no matter what I tried. I just burst into tears, put my head down on my computer and sobbed. DH put his arms around me, and said "I've always loved you, Cruella DeVil." 101 Dalmations was playing in theatres at the time, so I just kept the name.

Where I am from everyone grew up w/a nickname. I have 2 older brothers-one who was called Trash, the other called Nez.
I started to be called Nezy as I became of the "nickname" age.
It worked that way- where if you had an older brother or sister you inherited some variation of their name.

I figure better " Nezy" than "Trashy".

The SC is for the state I call home- South Carolina and I have always used DizneyDawn for everything on the internet. I did not want to just use DizneyDawn so I would not be confused with DiSneyDawn with the S instead of the Z!

Mine came from when my 9 year old daughter was 2. My parents gave her a puppy and this was right after we bought her lion king on tape. She would always call her dog simbanoodle. Then one time my wife was setting up an internet account for me and put simbanoodle and it has grown from there.

Count me as one of the non-creative ones. When I first created the name for this board, I just picked the first thing that came to mind....my DS. When DD came along a year later, I felt a little guilty, so I added her on my tag line.

DH is gmboy95, and that was the first year I was introduced to the family. The kids called me gamegirl for a while, until they could remember my name

When I signed up, I picked a handle I could remember, same as I've been using for years. Wish I had come up with something more unique and Disney. I danced, competed, taught, and judged (mostly with DH, but I started it first) in C&W and swing dancing for years. Hence "dancin" and "D" for my first name. Well, I've gotten a few questions about my screen name.

I lurked on these boards for quite a while, and saw how some folks just blasted the newbies for asking simple questions.

So I took a screen name that I thought would protect me somewhat....I mean, who wants to flame someone named "Granny"????


Okay, that's not the reason, but I'm liking this story better than the truth!

Gopher is one of my absolute fave characters... and I think one reason is because, since I was seeking web anonymity to some degree, he provided it (after all... he's not in the book, ya know.)


So I "went for it" and ended up with "Gopherit" !
