It looks like California, Kentucky, Rhode Island, Louisiana, and Ohio owners have all started threads. Let's not be left behind, Virginia.

Who's online from the Old Dominion? Which part of the state are you from? Show it off with a few pictures of your home town!

Here's the map, as of post #53

We're in Portsmouth, in the heart of Hampton Roads.

I'm in the Northern Neck, birthday place of George Washington.:goodvibes

Northern VA (Falls Church, 7 miles from the White House)...

Not 100% sure the DC suburbs "count" as VA to downstate Virginians, tho (a concept w/which I'm familiar--as a transplanted Chicagoan, I know "the rest" of IL doesn't count Chicagoans as people who are "really" from IL!)...

So I'll let you decide whether us suburban DC types count as Virginians (or Marylanders) or if we should have a "DC Area" thread for us?

Shenendoah Valley checking in here!:wave2:

OK, Toano, but if we told you that, you would go ..."WHERE?"
Williamsburg is the next town over!!!

Robin & Angel "D" :thumbsup2

Twenty-five+ years in Reston (Northern Virginia, a few miles from Dulles Airport) and sixteen year DVC members.

Need a Virginia (or metro DC) meet one of these days...

Fifteen years here in Alexandria, VA - a few miles south of Old Town. We were migrating-military types until we both got out of the Marine Corps and settled down here.

We're from the Richmond area and very new to DVC! I'm learning so much from these boards! Glad to see that other Virginians share our love of Disney!

Thanks for starting this thread! We are located in Charlottesville, the home of Thomas Jefferson and the University of VA.

Sterling, Virginia some people call it Potomac Falls, Virginia. DVC members since 2004:cool1:

We are in Lexington - home of Virginia Military Institute and Washington & Lee University.

Lonely SW VA'er here. Think Virginia Tech, then go about 45 miles south... yeah, we're down on the NC line... Blue Ridge Mountains... Wood Brothers Racing... Mabry Mill... that's about it.

checking in from Springfield, Virginia.

We are about an 11 minute drive from the auto train and love to get to Disney that way.

20 year Virginian. Grew up in NoVa, but went to school down at Christopher Newport. Spent a year in Chesterfield. Now back in NoVa-- only a five minute drive from where Disney's America was supposed to be built.

Ah, yes, I remember the controversy...I almost cried when Disney pulled out. Would have done wonders for the non-Federal workforce around here, especially young people.

Checking in from Richmond! Thank you AirTran and Jet Blue for the non-stop flights to our happy place:cloud9:
