Hi there, you'll probably get a ton of responses if you post this on the DVC forum :)

We went to Disney four or five times before taking the DVC plunge -- and our only regret is that we didn't do it sooner! (You will hear that a lot for DVCers.) :earsboy:

Really, it's a hassle-free way to pre-pay for your vacations for years to come -- and it actually pays for itself very quickly. We just added more points this year, so we can go more often.

If you love visiting Disney, and plan to do it every year or two, it's a wonderful way to make that happen, and even save money in the long run. (Having pre-paid for our hotel expenses now, our vacations cost about half as much as they used to. And the value will only increase the longer we are members.)

Plus: if you want a break for Disney, you can use your points at other resorts all over the world. We're thinking of visiting Hawaii on our points next year.

The best way is to contact DVC and get yourself a "guide". My sister and I just bought together in October after a LOT of consideration. Our guide (Randy Kruger) was WONDERFUL and not at all pushy. He answered all of our questions directly, without giving us any kind of run-around. He sent us plenty of literature to help us make our decision. And, a great part of the process is that you can take "baby steps". Each step you take towards ownership is not final - even after you sign the final purchase documents, you have 15 days (or so) to change your mind. I can't give you advice on whether it's right for you, just because I don't know you, but my sister and I are thrilled with our decision. We're so excited to see all the different places we can go through DVC and we're taking our first trip to our "home resort" in just under three weeks! If you have any more specific questions, I'd be happy to try to answer them....Good Luck!

P.S. Congratulations on your wedding!

go ask on the DVC board.

first you need to decide what you want

SSR expiry in 2054

OKW, BWV, BCV and VWL expiry in 2042

You have to decide which resort you want.

right now DVC is only selling SSR. You can get the other resorts if you say you only want them. But you will be paying more thru DVC than a resalers.

there are few resalers that handle DVC.

DVC will handle the finance if you need it. With a resalers you are on your own - some people do a second mortgate on their house.

I brought DVC back in 93 - it was a bargin then.
