Are marathon weekend photos included in annual pass photo pass? I have an add-on photo pass with my Sorcerers pass renewal.

Well, DH and I prefer to visit later in January when points cost is low and after MLK weekend when crowds are low(er) too, but we’ll arrive this weekend to cheer our runner in the marathon. As is sometimes said when people on the Purchasing forum are deciding which resort to buy, the heart wants what the heart wants. If you go in May, will you always regret missing your chance to catch Springtime Surprise?Hi friends! We own at CCV and Princess '25 will be my 4th RunDisney race! I stayed at SSR, Pop, and Beach Club the night before a race. Next up will be Jambo before Princess HM
So DVC/Rundisney dilemma: looking to go to a full week in spring 2025 in a 1 bedroom. Was planning on going May 1st since points go down and it's near Mother's Day. Or do I instead go in mid April to also catch springtime surprise haha but the point difference is a lot. Would likely only be able to do 6 nights if we went in April.
I think I would rather increase my chance at seeing what 1 bedrooms are available at the 7 month window! We own at CCV but my kids/DH like to try other resorts. I suspect in early May we might be more likely to switch somewhere for a week easier than over spring break season/RunDisney weekend? I would get over missing Springtime surprise since I am also coming down this October for Wine and Dine HM!Well, DH and I prefer to visit later in January when points cost is low and after MLK weekend when crowds are low(er) too, but we’ll arrive this weekend to cheer our runner in the marathon. I agree that it will be easier to get a 1BR in early May than during Spring Break, so that’s a reasonable plan. we lucked out because we just got a new contract they checked in the couch cushions and found us something for that weekend for our first stay. we would not have had any luck either otherwise. So I ran my first runDisney event this past weekend and (damn you Disney) I loved it. I really wish I was running for Princess weekend, but I wasn’t sure if I’d like it or not when registration went live over the summer. Regret and FOMO, thy name is Merlin
But anyway, I just signed up for the DL Halloween Challenge cause I can’t help myself (have I mentioned I’m not a runner and the idea of a half marathon is actually terrifying? I hope 7mos is enough time to get it together and train lol) and I’m sad there’s zero DVC availability:/ I’m moving to SoCal soon so I’ll be pretty local but it would’ve been amazing to stay on property. I wonder what my waitlist chances for any view studio or 1bdrm for early Sept![]()
Welcome home! And what a great use for your first welcome homewe lucked out because we just got a new contract they checked in the couch cushions and found us something for that weekend for our first stay. we would not have had any luck either otherwise.
edited: VDH, they only had a 2BR available and normally we would go for 1BR, but maybe we'll bring a grandma. DS7 can't run the 10k and DD14 and DW wanted to run that, if we bring a grandma we can all do it if we get registrations. we have stayed in a Studio at VGC but it was maybe 10 years ago, paying cashWelcome home! Yikes, I’m sorry - that’s frustrating.Anyone else have a runDisney Guaranteed Week for Wine & Dine, only to discover they moved the run dates and thus Disney booked the wrong week for the Guarantee Week?
I just got an email from DVC about my early registration info for runDisney for Wine & Dine, which will be Oct 23-26, but my runDisney week is booked for Nov 2-9.
I don’t think we’ll be doing the run this year anyway, but I am debating inquiring any way to find out what Disney does in a situation like this, but thought I’d see if anyone else has the Wine & Dine week. What I don’t want is to give Disney a reason to determine they want to discontinue our runDisney benefits, however! Unless moving the run weeks is leading up to that (however I just got my email about pre-registration, so I’m assuming not).
While my week is technically Week 44, it’s a runDisney guaranteed week, so it’s supposed to coincide with the run… which is apparently week 42 this year.
Given that we’re unlikely to do the run this year, I’m not losing my mind right now the way I would be if we were, but I wanted to give anyone else planning on doing the run a notice of the change in weeks! Especially if you also have a Guaranteed runDisney Week!
Yes, that’s why I said technically my week is Week 44, as they had to assign it a week when I purchased it.I suspect this could be a consequence of the late announcement of the dates, combined with the specific wording of the sales contract for an Event Week.
If I remember correctly, the dates for the Wine & Dine race were not announced until January of this year. That's well inside the booking window for the week I will bet money that the Event Week contract (a) is technically tied to a specific Guaranteed Week and (b) has language that specifies what happens if the event date is not known before the Home Resort booking window opens for the relevant week number.
Take a careful look at your sales contract to see what it says.
