I am seeing posts on blogs and social media that all June cruises on the Wish are canceled. That they are moving the Inaugural sailing to July - so bummed!
I haven't seen an email or any official news yet.

I hope it's only a rumor!

(I meant to post on Mousecellanous - eeks)

Just received an email from DCL that confirms that those on the DVC Charter are being rebooked automatically to July 19th.

Ah, Yes! We did too.
It's like they could read my mind - ha!

We can't make the new date! I hope most people still can go.

We could no longer go on the DVC wish cruise for the new dates so I rebooked the June, Fantasy 11-18th sailing so we could still cruise around the same time. With the 50% off our 7 day fantasy is the same price as the 3 day wish 😊. I had only used DVC points for one of my children on the reservation and the new cruise amount of DVC points at half off was the exact same number so I didn’t have to worry about any points getting wasted. The member services agent told me they would stay as reservation points if I had left overs not returned to my DVC account.

I cancelled yesterday (Monday) and this is what I was told - which matches the email I received. All points would be returned to the Membership/UY from which they came.

ETA; I'm seeing them as reservation points right now. I'm calling as I was informed they would be converted back to vacation points.

UPDATE: Just got off the phone and can confirm! For the cancelled Wish DVC Charter Cruise ONLY you can revert points back to vacation points, but must specifically request it! Points are back in my account. Hope this helps.

I am happy, not that it affects me. They made at least one person in the cabin use points for this cruise and that had never happened before. If they couldn’t provide the cruise they made you use points for, I think they should return the points as regular ones.

I can’t go on the Maiden cruise because it’s the exact date our family Dream cruise begins. Getting 50% off another cruise does ease the pain. It’s been 9 years since we’ve been on a family cruise. Our DGC are now 17, 18, and 19, and no way would we miss being with them again. Luckily my friends still want to do the DVC cruise with me, so I’m on the Wish, too! I know this is not an official Member Cruise, but it’s been so long since any Member Cruise has sailed ( to Bermuda 2019) I am happy to be on it, however it’s designated!

Hi All! I have a question regarding the Wish DVC Charter cruise that was to be in June but now moved to July. If I read the email correctly, it said I need to contact member@disneyvacationclub if I am not able to cruise with the new July dates. So, if I am keeping my reservation I do not have to do anything correct? The reason I am asking is I went out to DCL and under My Cruise Reservations the cruise is not listed but it is under the Castaway Club section. I tried to link my reservation number but it wouldn't let me. I want to make sure that if I am keeping the cruise reservation I am good and I don't need to do anything.

Thank You
Jennifer

There's been different answers from DVC on this. Some CMs said you don't need to do anything if you want to still sail on the charter, others have said you must send the email regardless. To be safe, you should send the email even if you are going to sail on the new July date.

The new cruise date has a different DCL reservation number which is why you can't link it using the reservation number you currently have. I'm in the same situation where it only shows on my Castaway Club cruise history.

Thanks for the information about it being listed in CC information. I was concerned when it no longer showed up with the original DCL reservation number!

It’s in the CC information, along with the Maiden Voyage which we are not going on. DCL has some things to fix on the site.

Our lead, Patricia, was told it could take up to a month for the points and monies to be returned. And she verified that if you want the points to be regular DVC Points and NOT reservation points, you must tell them.

Thats one reason why even if you are going on the cruise you should call and tell them. I can’t imagine ANYONE would rather have reservation points rather than regular DVC points. :)

Such a bummer. I would think lots of people would not be able to change their dates.

True, I wonder if they will resell those cabins or let a lower number of passengers sale.

DW and I are on the inaugural, and our DD could't go with us, because she is a CIT at a Camp that starts June 12th. So... we used a placeholder and FCC we had from last July to book the July 18th sailing of the Wish for all 3 of us.

Well, you know what has happened... Inaugural was shifted, now leaving July 14 (which our DD could now go with, as she WAS on the 7/18 sailing). As of now, DCL is not allowing us to add her to our stateroom.

One happy ending though... We moved the 7/18 Wish cruise and took the 50% off to the 6/26 9-nt Greek Isles. Plus they stacked the 125% FCC from last year and the 10% Placeholder on top of that. Got a great deal that we couldn't pass up, so DD will at least get to do that... (Also, the inaugural at 50% off is nice too!)

Has anyone gotten money back or points returned? We have not.
