DVC Wish cruise canceled? Have anyone heard officially?

Has anyone gotten money back or points returned? We have not.
Not yet. On the FB group, someone called and was told up to another 6 weeks or so before refunds are processed for those that are still going to sail on the charter.

The only ones I've seen that did get a refund were those that called and cancelled.

I cancelled yesterday (Monday) and this is what I was told - which matches the email I received. All points would be returned to the Membership/UY from which they came.

ETA; I'm seeing them as reservation points right now. I'm calling as I was informed they would be converted back to vacation points.

UPDATE: Just got off the phone and can confirm! For the cancelled Wish DVC Charter Cruise ONLY you can revert points back to vacation points, but must specifically request it! Points are back in my account. Hope this helps.
I have never had reservation points before. Do they show up on your dashboard somewhere?

Did you cancel rather than move to the rescheduled cruise?
If I get points converted back to vacation points, since they were originally 2021 points I would need to bank them by the end of March.

So far haven't seen a refund for the cash portion either.

I had to look under the specific contract to see that the points were Reservation points, otherwise they did not show up in my dashboard (I just may not know where to look).

I cancelled the cruise. If you are going to cancel and want vacation points vs reservation points you will need to call. I would do it ASAP. Once I called, the points showed up immediately so I was able to bank them.

I have not seen the refund for the cash portion.

I will let the other two people in my cabin know. We are going to sail! :boat:

The 50% refund of our points was done on 2/28. You have to pull a Transaction History under My Vacation Points to see the reservation points. We will call in the next few days to request they be converted back to Vacation Points.

We called this week and asked to convert them. Initially, we were told, sorry, they can't do that. But after some discussion, they put me on hold and spoke to someone who authorized it. It took a few minutes, but all worked out. Just a heads up.

Has anyone been able to access their reservation on DCL for the new July date? My reservation is no longer showing on DCL but it is on DVC but still as June. When I tried to link the reservation number again on DCL I received an error message. I have sent 2 emails to DVC and 2 emails to DCL within the last 2 weeks and I have not received any reply. On Wednesday I was able to do an online chat on the DCV website but I was informed they could not help me as I needed to call DVC and pick the option for cruise line. Is anyone experiencing issues? Or does anyone have any suggestions? I am currently on hold with DVC (40 minutes and counting as I type this).

Thank You
Jennifer

Yes, we can access the new reservation date on DCL. Our lead person, who booked with points, did have to talk to the DVC cruise person. She also was able to link our reservation with two other rooms so that we should be at the same table for dinner.
Here’s today countdown!

I was able to book Palo for our Nassau day.

I hope you did get through and have it straightened out.

I am pretty sure that it was a new reservation number. Did you get a refund of 1/2 points or 1/2 money??

Bobbiwoz - I was finally able to talk to someone after being on hold 90 minutes. I was able to receive the new reservation number and was also able to add my reservation to DCL but I am not able to book anything until April 20th; It says keep checking back. I used all DVC points for this cruise as I am taking my mother on a Mother/Daughter vacation.

Now I just need to call DVC back and set up my transfers from the Grand Floridian to Port and from the Port to the airport (as I just booked my airfare). I have been on 5 DCL cruises before this one and I feel this one I am more unprepared for this one and I have had more issues with reservations.

I am Platinum CC, that’s why I was able to book so early.

We have not been told very much, so we are all in the same boat. I have not felt that DVC has been upfront with information about the most recent DVC member Cruises compared to those in the early 2000’s. Still, I am looking forward to this the Wish cruise! I think it’s going to be pretty exciting, and I think ( hope) it’s going to be special for you and your Mom!

I’m no longer sailing on the DVC wish cruise and rescheduled to sail on the fantasy for the June dates we would have been on the wish and it’s still showing in my DVC dashboard and on the DCL website. I didn’t realize that the activities booking window is open for me and it would let me book activities when I just tried to😳. So it looks like it wasn’t canceled even though I took advantage of the 50% and moved to another cruise. I really don’t want to wait on DCL phone lines for their crazy hold times to get this straightened out.

One more question. My booking window is April 20th for booking excursions and onboard activities but it says "Your booking window opens on April 20, 2022. Check back later to explore activities. Once you pay in full, you can book your favorite ones." I paid for myself and my mother with all points. I thought in the past (and I could be mistaken as the last time I cruised was precovid) I could view the excursions or activities prior to booking them? If not, then I will have to wait till April 20th. And just to verify is that at 12am eastern (11pm central time) or is that at 7am eastern (6am central). Again, I feel so "out of practice" doing this.

Thank you all for helping and understanding!

You can go to the regular DCL website to look at what’s being offered in Nassau to get an idea of what’s being offered these days. i am not sure what they showed prior to Covid, I really don’t remember.

I do think people mention staying up until midnight to book. I never have, so don’t know for sure.
