DVC West coast part......to go or not to go

I'm set to go to the DVC west coast party tonight (Friday the 23rd) but the cards are stacking against me! I live 58 miles from Disneyland and

1) its Memorial Day weekend and I'd have to leave super early due to holiday traffic to get their by 6:45 for the 7pm start
2) its officially raining here in SoCal which means that I'd have to leave an hour before "super early" because we dont know how to drive in the rain.
3) our babysitter cancelled so my husband said he'd stay home and I could go and check it out, but that means now I'm a solo driver so I can't even take advantage of the carpool lanes

Of course I'd like to be a part of the festivities but the main reason I'm going is because I just dont want to miss out on a killer deal!!! I've been looking to add on for a while and I have a feeling that this is going to be the time to do it so should I just suck it up and deal with the horrible traffic?

On a side note:
1) does anyone live in the Santa Clarita/SFV area that might want to carpool down there tonight (I have an extra spot!) or
2) does anyone have an extra spot for Sat or Sun night?

If they are having killer deals (and who knows until we get there), I would guess you could just call your guide and get the same deal without hasseling the traffic. Of course I understand that you WANT to go, but if it doesn't work out, there is no reason you should miss out on the deals. If your guide is normally in FLA, I have a CA guide that you could contact. I don't think the FLA guides know what is going on out here. (and don't worry, as I understand it, your guide still gets 'credit' for your add on)

What??? It never rains in Southern California...

I agree with Califgirl, you can probably still get the same deal if you just call your guide.
