Sorry if this already has been posted, but this is the pop-up window I received when logging into the member website:
(Do you think we will have on-line booking capabilities? Maybe we can check our points balances and reservations--wouldn't that be cool?)
"A magical makeover for dvcmember.com

In early May, we're debuting an all-new Member web site, featuring a fresh design, improved navigation, and exclusive content just for Members. The new dvcmember.com also incorporates enhanced site security to maintain exclusivity for Members and to protect current and future information that may be available.

For this reason, each individual Member on a contract will be issued a separate and unique Vacation Club ID number and PIN. These numbers are required to register for access to the site when it launches.

At the end of April, each Member in your household will receive two separate notices containing these numbers via postal mail. Please note - be careful not to discard what appear to be duplicate mailings! While the mailings will look the same, each envelope contains important, unique information required to log on to the new web site. "

We can only hope! And may I say, I hope your long range planning is successful! I don't think I could wait that long. My countdown is long enough.:hyper:

Only time will tell...

Point balance checking would be really nice. But personally I would rather book the room directly through member services. I like a person to confirm.

I have visions of people getting up at midnight to book thier DVC stay. LOL

That said, it might be nice on weekends. I actually don't mind calling MS. I rarely have to wait (call in the late afternoon) and have been pretty lucky in getting what I want.

The way it's worded my guess is that on-line point balance checking and possibly making reservations and/or banking/borrowing are anticipated down the road but not when they site first debuts.

I do think being able to check point balance online would be a nice feature, but I think I would feel better actually talking to a person to make reservations.
As a matter of fact, last week I tried to order 3 Yankee tickets online for Sept., our first time going. I put in all my info, credit card etc., then was told some internal error existed and I could not tell if the order went through or not until I called Ticketmaster and spoke to someone. Sometimes, I think it is just more reassuring if you actually talk to a person live. You know what I mean?:D
