Dvc waitlist.

Quick question. I’m new. If I have 2 waitlists going for 2 different hotels for same dates, if one becomes available does that auto cancel the other?

Also what are actually odds of getting a waitlist request for oct 26-30? I feel extremely low

Welcome....answer to #1 is no.....the answer to #2 is it depends on what resort your waitlist is for....Boardwalk & B.Club will be out of the question as all the Food & Wine lovers at Epcot suck those up asap.....other places like Old Key West, Saratoga or Animal Kingdom are possibile.....Good Luck to you!

If you have two waitlists and one fills, they do indeed cancel the other.

Yes, they do cancel it. Even if they have different people on them. It is annoying.

A shorter than four day waitlist is a lot more likely to fill. That’s a long time to get a particular category.

Don’t give up hope. I have been looking one night the second week of October to extend a trip and have seen Riviera, Boardwalk, Animal Kingdom, Beach Club and the Poly all have rooms available while watching the last couple of weeks. Not to brag but I think I have had better luck checking myself over the waitlist.

you may want to consider (since i see some floating 1-2 day availability) trying to piece together your stay one day at a time while waiting (if you aren't borrowing for this trip). you might be able to pick up single days as they become available vs. a waitlist will only hit if all 4 become free at once.

You can call MS and have them revise your waitlist request so that it will pull points from the partial reservation if your waitlist does happen to hit while you aren't stalking the website. I have done this a handful of times recently because we made a late decision to add family to our trip in December, so i've been tinkering like hell with my reservations to get them on the monorail loop while not wanting to lose my spot in a waitlist line.
