DVC vs. Moderate studio

The biggest difference in staying at a moderate or a value instead of DVC, is I feel like commoner scum...... ;)

I have purposely NOT booked a 2-BR yet for this exact reason. I know that the second we set foot in one, we are goners and will never go back to a 1-BR! Of course, we don't have enough points right now to support a 2-BR habit, and if I am going to be at all successful at innoculating myself agains addonitis, then I best not even LOOK at a 2-BR!

As it is, I can't even stay in a regular hotel room anymore! We took a quick trip (just one night) to Boston a couple of weeks ago, and I all but had my nose up in the air the whole time. lol Yup, DVC has spoiled us, that is for sure!

We got upgraded from a studio to a 2BR at HHI a week ago and while we laughed at all of the room for 3 people I have to say it was VERY cool...

And now I am sad I booked a studio for June - I think we are now 1 BR snobs!

I dispute the comments about some DVCs not being deluxe and getting nicer/newer furnishings at a moderate. All DVCs may not be your taste but they are all deluxe resorts. And the furniture age and condition tends to be dependent on when the resort was built or last renovated. In general, the finishes are nicer and higher quality in a DVC resort and the studios (because of all the reasons mentioned above) are far more comfortable.

When staying at a moderate no one says "Welcome Home!" And it does feel like home.... :)
