Does the DVC video have anything on it that will help you decide on buying?

I received a DVC kit in the mail toady without a video.

I spoke with a guide on the phone for about an hour last week. I asked for the video on DVD but he said that the only had VHS. I said VHS was better than nothing.

I felt comfortable with most answers I received from my initial conservation. We will probably buy soon. But s there anything on the wideo to help you. Or is it mostly promotional and something nice to have.

I thought it was very helpful in helping my wife decide to move forward. It's only about 20 minutes long, but it gives you a brief look at each DVC resort and many of the other worldwide destinations that are available through DVC's exchange programs.

I don't think you'd find anything in the video to dissuade you from purchasing. So if nothing has scared you off to this point, you might as well go for it. But, IMO, it's worth a phone call to request a copy of the missing video.

Incidentally, if you've ever happened to turn on the DVC channel on resort TV while at Walt Disney World, the video they play there is basically the promotional video you are missing. Lots of info about the resorts and other destinations, and a lot of testimonials from members.

I loved watching that video while I was @ WDW in '03! In fact that gave me the big push to look into buying. My DBF thought I was nuts because when I was relaxing in the room I wanted to have it on.

You can have every video in the world,but actually staying at the resort of your choice is whats best.Nothing beats the experience.

The videos are nice. I wish they would change them up a little. But they are great for motivation to go out and do it. We watch them just to get excited for an upcoming trip. It seems like we're always watching. But as others have said nothing is like the stay itself. You might consider renting points and staying. Then stopping in to see your guide on your stay.
