Hello,
Does anyone know what the latest tours are like, ie how long it will last, free gifts etc.
Still weighing up my options, but am quite interested in DVC.

Thanks
Martin

How long the tour actually lasts depends entirely upon you. You are free to leave at anytime. I would not allow less than 1 1/2 hours, and 2 hours would be more reasonable. If you plan to buy immediately after the tour, allow extra time, as your guide will take time to go over your purchase and answer any questions you may have, as well as allowing you some privacy to discuss it amongst yourselves if you are undecided.

We just took the tour on Sunday - as the previous poster said, allow a couple of hours.

As far as free gifts go, they gave us vouchers for a meal. We had a choice of quite of few places; restaurants on DVC, property, etc (none in Downtown Disney though)

i was 99% sure that i was going to buy before going into my tour. the tour lasted about 2 hours with all the questions i had and the answers they gave. then it was about another 2 hours for the paperwork when i bought. so total of 4 hours for me. i had lots of questions.

before, the freebie was a complete lunch meal anywhere in WDW with the exception of the fancy places like California Grill, Victoria & Albert's, etc. that's what my brother got.

but they changed it to just a voucher now at certain places. and the meal consists of an entree, drink, and dessert. used mine at beaches-n-cream. my dessert was huge!!!

PS-also forgot to mention the other freebies. when you are at SSR for the DVC tour, they have free snacks and refreshments for you. but i was blown away by how nice they are. i just snacked a bit, and they kept encouraging me to get more food. and new trays of snacks kept coming out. even when we were in our own little booth, my DVC rep kept bringing me another bottle of water and refilling my lemonade. in the end, i was given a few bottles of water for the road. talk about service. then again, for the money they got from me on the DVC purchase, that was really expensive water i had. :rotfl2:
