Hi!! I'm planning our very first cruise. I am very excited, but it is all new to me. If you could help answer some logistic questions, I would greatly appreciate it.

Does Disney offer a shuttle service for those who are going on a cruise after their DVC stay?

If so, who do I speak with to arrange transportation to and from?

Cost?

Will Disney allow me to keep my car on property while on the cruise?

If it helps to know... We plan on staying 3 nights at DVC, then 4-day cruise, then back to DVC.

I wouldn't be happy to drive ourselves there too. We will have our own car.

Thanks so much.

For $35 per person each way, DCL offers transportation between the Disney owned and operated resorts at WDW and Port Canaveral. They also run between PC and MCO for the same price.

You would contact either DCL or your TA (which ever controls your cruise booking) to add the transfers.

Depending on how many people, you may be able to save some money based on the DCL price by using a car service.

Parking at Port Canaveral for a 3-night cruise is $60, for a 4-night cruise it's $75. Probably cheaper to drive and park at the port.

If you are more than 2 people, the shuttle doesn't save you any money and you are at the mercy as far as when to leave the hotel and check in at the cruise port.

If you don't mind driving, drive. Or as pp said take a car service. We've taken car service to and then rented a car to get back to WDW. Like to check in as early as possible and get on that ship :)

Also, if you take your own car you can stop at walmart on the way for water, soda, wine or anything else you forgot or need :)
