DVC sliders

Hi

Wondering if anyone has 3 DVC sliders. I will ask in my welcome phone call if they give them out anymore. But everyone on this site is saying they don't. Someone was nice enough to offer to give me 2, so would love 3 more. Just looking for my 5 kids to have them. Would be nice for me and my husband, but not as important. Kids are so excited to finally belong to the DVC family. Thank you

Lots of reasons. One of them was that they were being stuffed with the Magic Band boxes being shipped for a resort stay, and that made the process inefficient.

They do it for AP members! Why not just send them out with new memberships or by request... they’re so cute

They used to come in the magic band box when you ordered your AP magic band. Haven’t ordered one in a while so not sure if they are still sending them

My last 2 AP bands there was a polite little note stating they had run out and once they were back in stock they'd send the out. As you can guess that didn't happen. And that's ok - I don't care for them anyway but just state on the note that you're sorry you ran out.

I've seen the opposite! LOL Our friends, who are longtime AP holders, have them. They said they received them on their bands.

The thing is, though, is that because APs get the AP band, it's easy to have the slider in every box when packing.

DVC doesn't get one-and-done for a MagicBand. Like all resort stays, you get a band with each resort stay, unless you decline. So the mechanics of fulfillment are different. I suppose they could provide them with the tote bag for direct purchasers, but it wouldn't make sense as part of regular room Band fulfillment, which is what they did before.

In short: They simply don't care.

They still do. I just got some.

We are DVC members and have an AP. We did not get sliders the last 3 years or a note promising to send them. Not a big deal, as we don't know what we are or aren't missing. Not sure I would use one if I got it anyway.

If I recall correctly the DVC sliders haven’t been sent since 2015 (we went twice in 2016 and I don’t think we got them either time that year).
I got an AP slider in 2015 and 2016 when I ordered my AP band. The 2015 was cooler b/c it had the year on it. When I got my 2nd one it just said Annual passholder. So I didn’t bother to order an AP magic band in 2017 as I assumed the slider would be the same and I already had lots of magic bands.

I got my first AP last summer. When I got the Magic Band for having the AP, there were sliders in the box. I believe they were in a tiny zip loc bag, and I almost threw them away by mistake. Maybe they were under something? I don't remember.

Just order your magic bands, if you’re an AP Member, they should come with your bands!

Once you active an AP you'll have the ability to order AP MB's on MDE. The slider would come with those MB's.
