I have been DVC for about 8 years, I never take advantage of any of the DVC exclusives in and out of the park. Does any one have any suggestions that I should definitely do on my next trip? I feel like I'm missing out!! I didn't even know about the 25 anniversary photo booth! I'll definitely have to check it out :-)

Apparently the new lounge at Epcot is a really nice place to chillax in the AC while the unwashed masses sweat it out below...:p

The photo booths are indeed fun and they get added to your Photopass if you have an AP.

Top of the world lounge was fun to watch the fireworks and have a beverage. On our first stay and only stay at Bay Lake, our room was on the 16th floor so it was a quick walk.

If staying at the Grand Cal -- take advantage of the early morning Power Walk. We've done it several times through the DCA park although it is sometimes offered outside the park for various reasons.

I would log into the Member web site asap and look for the extras. They are all listed there and you can plan your trip accordingly.

Not DVC specific but depending upon what you are into some of the things to do in the WDW area outside the parks:
sports: golf, mini-golf, fishing, marathon, bowling, ESPN Club, WWS/ESPN Zone, etc
shopping: DTD, area outlet malls, large scale malls
drinking: Jellyrolls, Raglan Road, monorail tour of resorts, walking tour of resorts in the Boardwalk area
movies: DTD 24 screen theater some with meals served by waiters
night clubbing: Jellyrolls, Atlantic Dance, Raglan Road, Citywalk
resort tours: monorail tour of resorts, Boardwalk around the lake tour of resorts, horse drawn tour of FWC, AKL/AKV
offsite: Gaylord Palms Resort, Citywalk, swamp tour
eating: Formal GF 5* Chef's Table @ V&As

Splitsville has a DVC night every Wednesday. It does cost $ and it has to be reserved in advance.

If you are going around the holidays they have Member Merry Mixers once a week in Epcot. Typically they have 4 of them but I think they have added a 5th this year. They are totally free with no registration. Entertainment, treats, door prizes and you get an ornament.

:o And where would these photo booths be located, please?

Check your emails, we've received invites when @ Disney to see advance viewing of whatever new movie is rolling out.

"Photo kiosks are located in the community halls of the following Disney Vacation Club Resorts: Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village Disney's BoardWalk Villas Disney's Old Key West Resort Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa"

So it looks like any resort with a community hall :). We did the one at Boardwalk.

Can you take kids to this? ... and should you NOT, even if you can?

Will these be available through the fall? ... when will they be removed?

Top of the world lounge is cool and definitely the new member's lounge at Epcot!

Why wouldn't you? They're not booze-fuelled benders, just some cookies and colouring pages for the kids with some music.

I wasn't sure what to expect. I should have known better; it IS Disney. Do they offer the cookies and coloring pages for the kids?

Absolutely take them. They have a dance party with a DJ, character photo ops and activities for the kids.
That does sound nice! Any way of knowing in advance about the characters who will be at the photo ops?
