DVC ressie with no tickets

I'm assuming on Sunday it would be easiest to just buy the needed 2021 tickets online. Agreed?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but up until last year, we have always had APs with our DVC. Anyway, June 28th will be my first time trying to buy actual park tickets. Is that done through DVC, in MDE or just the website? I've looked everywhere and can't figure out what site to actually go to in order to buy tix.

It is frustrating but they are treating any guest without a ticket the same..not just DVC..for 2020.

But it also now appears that when they opened park reservations they may very well have held back spots for onsite guests including DVC without tickets because days are available on that calendar and not on the AP calendar.
I hope you are right. I am afraid if they held back the 2020 tickets for package stays on property that will exclude DVC, like you have said many times DVC guests can't have packages. For 2021 stays, resort cash guests stays, which can become packages by adding tickets (and thus park reservations), were able to do that on Wednesday. DVC guests will not have that chance till Sunday. If they follow he same pattern for 2020, that is, open ticket sales to people either booking new packages or converting cash rooms into packages first, DVC owners will be left out again. I have family members on 2020 stays that still need tickets. If they get denied an opportunity and cash guests get to go first I will be livid.

Normally there is a buy tickets link pretty prominent on the main Disney World website. That's what I plan on checking unless I hear differently.
No need to cal DVC for tickets. They aren't linked in any way.

From my understanding once ticket sales resume, they will resume for all and that stand alone will be offered for anyone.

Hopefully, it turns out to be true. And, there are some rumors and speculation that resort rooms for 2020 may not open up at the same time as tickets...that will actually be later

Both DVC and Onsite cash guests are currently without Tickets for 2020.
We shall see!

Yes...assuming they open it up online which all indications are they should!

But with Disney, everything thing is subject to change and the 24th was supposed to allow for stand alones for DVC and it didn’t.

The next question of course is: what time on Sunday? 12:01 AM, 6:00 AM, 7:00 AM? I know I will try them all. :)

Okay so it seems like we'll be able to buy tickets, but what about APs? I have 7-day tickets for a trip in August that I want to upgrade to DVC Gold APs so they are valid for another trip next May. I want to this before our trip in August so I can make the May park reservations now. How the heck do I accomplish this one? Just call? Website can't do that, right? Do I call DVC, WDW ticket line, or AP line?

(From DVC FAQ):
4) I have a Resort reservation or am planning to make a Resort reservation in 2021. When can I begin to purchase theme park tickets and book dates for park reservations?

By June 28, all Guests will be able to make new Disney Resort hotel reservations, purchase theme park tickets and make their theme park reservations for arrivals starting in 2021 as our phased reopening continues. Learn more about park reservations.

I don't believe APs will be available, but I don't know for sure. I plan on buying the tickets needed for next trip and upgrade them to Gold APs once those are available. That way I can secure the reservations I need as soon as possible.

So will DVC in 2021 who have to get tickets on June 28 get lumped into the toggle on the availability calendar that says "other ticket holders" not resort guests? I am debating waiting a day or two to purchase tickets from ParkSavers, but I am also worried about availability for Jan 2021 Marathon with all those DVC reservations already booked who are waiting to get tickets on the 28th.

We should be under resort guests. My wife has a ticket attached to her account and has been able to make reservations since they opened to resort guests. The rest of the party has no tickets so we could not. I anticipate that as soon as I attach tickets we should be able to make reservations as resort guests.

Thanks, that is what I was hoping, but also trying to confirm

Did ParkSavers tell you they’d have tickets to sell? I emailed UT, and they told me they didn’t know when they’d have 2021 tickets available.

I messaged Park Savers on facebook and this was their response:
Thank you for contacting us! Currently, no 2020 tickets are being sold for Walt Disney World or Disneyland Resort.

Please check back with us on June 28th for 2021 Walt Disney World Tickets and daily for Disneyland tickets.

So I interpret that as a maybe. I think they are waiting to see what happens June 28th as well.

Interesting. Thanks for checking.... Now I have to decide whether to just go through Disney or check with third party vendors. I need 6 tickets, so the savings could be significant.

That is my debacle too. Do I wait and hope dates don't fill and get a bit of savings, or do I just book through Disney, knowing its done.

I know I'm in the mind to just get our tickets, get our reservations and move on. Tired of worrying about it.
