DVC Resorts print out your Boarding passes?

I noticed in Deb's newsletter today that someone had their airline boarding passes printed out at POR on the day of their flight back home. They just went to the guest relations desk with their confirmation code and had it done.

I've never tried to do this at the DVC resort we stayed in but it would really be handy to have it done before we were at MCO. Has anyone tried this at your DVC resort?

Oh yes, they were more than glad to do this. I was glad they did it too.

They did it for us in December and March at the BCV. Just go to the lobby concierge.

They did this for us in March at VWL. Very convenient. :)

They did thios for me Friday at SSR. At the bell services. They were also supposed to be able to print tags to go on my luggage to send my luggage ahead but the system wasn't working. But I still got my boarding passes.

Yes, I did this at BWV in February. I couldn't sleep, so I went to the lobby at about 3am. It was no problem, especially at that time. I did have to wait a few minutes because they were printing reports and the passes printed behind them, but no big deal.

Another reason to buy into DVC: the AS Movies refused to print boarding passes for us in February. The CM (and her manager) indicated that if they did it for us, they'd have to do it for all that asked! Since there is no internet access in the parks either, only @ the business centers, we had the pleasure of sitting in the last row of the plane for our trip home.

I find the high end, even though not DVC (AKL, etc.) will accommodate.

At least as of last December, it was Disney policy that EVERY WDW resort front desk was supposed to offer this service. I learned because I played "let's ask many different CMs the same exact question and see how many different answers I get" game. Finally, a CM contacted "The Policy Team" (like the A-Team, except with refillable mugs) and said that all resorts will do this, as long as they are give ALL the info needed; not only name, flight, conf. number, etc., but the URL of the on-line checkin site for your airline.

Now, if they'll only tell the Management and CM's at the AS Movies we'll all be on the same page.

I was told that some airlines have not contracted with them to do this - US Airways being one of them.

I had called to get Magical Express on my trip and since USAir wasn't listed on their original airline list I asked if it was available yet.

She said that the Magical Express/take your baggage deal is for all airlines and that the boarding pass print at the hotel is only for contracted airlines.

So you may want to call and check on your airline. I presume this could change at any time, and may have even changed since I called. (and/or I was told wrong.....you know the routine!)
