DH got it once for us, but that was in a situation where they put us in an inappropriate room (and from the line DH encountered at the front desk and the chatting they all had a chance to do, they had put MANY people into inappropriate rooms that day) and didn't have anything for us until the next day. Since they didn't have any open rooms, they had to wait for someone to vacate a room and have it cleaned. It was our first trip (though by then in the trip it was our 3rd, I believe, DVC resort) and we didn't realize how much we would HATE being "stuck" in our room just waiting for them to deliver our keys. If we had it to do over again we would have gotten everything ready to go early that morning, left them with BS, and gone to have some fun. Nevertheless, it was given to us. That one time.
Last trip when we had to switch rooms due to a heinous mildew/mold situation, they did
not offer it (nor did we ask for it) and in fact were knocking on our door for an hour or two BEFORE checkout time. They continued to knock even once we had told them repeatedly that we actually needed the room keys to the next room before we left. This was a situation where they had rooms the night before, but my thinking skills were blunted by my extreme reaction to mildew/mold and my sick self preferred to stay in a room where I was terribly ill instead of moving to a clean room.


So in that case they HAD a clean room for us to move into, and we just needed them to do as they said they would do, and bring us the keys. Once they brought the keys we were out of there after the housekeeping manager came up to see what was wrong with the room!
Man oh man do I hope we never have a negative room situation again, as it's getting old to have these experiences....
