DVC Resort Academy Awards – Category: Best Rooms (Size/Layout/Décor)

Vote for the DVC resort(s) which, in your personal opinion, should win in the category of “Best Rooms (Size/Layout/Décor)”.

I have excluded the two offsite DVC resorts from consideration in this poll. I would suggest voting for your top one to three choices in this category, and then optionally adding a reply outlining your vote and the reason(s) behind your vote.

My top 3 choices would be:

1) AKV
2) VGC

My choice for size is the only obvious answer to me: OKW

Decor and room layout, I love SSR. I could live in that 2 bedroom villa forever, it is my favorite of all the resorts for decor and love the fact that if you get a studio or one bedroom the connecting door is in the foyer, not in the living room.

I voted for the exact same resorts, mainly for the decor and layout.

1) OKW - no competition for size, just add a sleeper chair!
2) AKV - good layout, + 2nd bathroom in 1 bdr
3) VWL - best left for decor

While OKW has the largest rooms, the rooms feel old to me.

I picked AKV because of the great decor and the extra bathroom in the 1-BR/2-BR units, which are the same reasons I picked VGC and BLT.

AKV I like the rooms there the best! Even in Jambo, the studios have 2 sinks in the vanity area and that's a plus for me. Kidani's 1-2 bedrooms have an elegant master bath!

I voted OKW. For size and layout you cannot beat it and I rather like the decor as well.

I really wanted to vote for AKV first because I love the decor there, but I had to go with OKW. The reason is that with each AKV trip, we have always kept wishing this or that was layed out like OKW. The big plus at Jambo is the 2 sinks in the bathroom, but the lack of lighting pulls it back down, and I HATE the dark cubby hole for WC! The kitchen, size of bathroom and entire unit and the seperate laundry room with full sized appliances make OKW the hands down winner. That doesn't even mention the huge porch which is the feature we probably enjoy most there. Still....it doesn't have exotic animals in your view....only the normal rabbits, squirels, ducks and herons.

this is hard for me as I haven't seen the BLT rooms or models and have never been in the BCV or BWV. So I am going to go with
1) VGC
2) AKV
3) SSR

OKW is in the lead due to the large size of the rooms. I'm a bit surprised that AKV is #2. I love the decor of AKV, but others have complained about it being "too dark".
