DVC Renter purchase dining plan?

My friend is a DVC owner and I am renting her points this August. Is it true that I can purchase the dining plan? What is the cost and how do I purchase/book that?

Yes, you can add the dining plan. Just have your friend add it to the reservation before you go (you cannot add it at check-in!) and you can pay for it when you get there.

The cost is the same as the dining plan for regular resorts: $37.99 for adults and $10.99 for kids 3-9 years old per day:

I am also renting points from a DVC Member. My question is who has to add the dining plan? The DVC Member or can I add it once I have my confirmation number from them? Thanks

I have rented out points several times and was told by MS that the renter can call the number on the reservation and add the dining plan and magical express.
