DVC questions

I had looked into DVC about 4 years back but could never convince my husband it was a good thing to do. Well now I think he is convinced and have some additoinal questions for all you DVC experts.

DVC vs resale? I have a call into DVC, waiting on guide to call me back as to what is available now and what incentives are available now.
With a resale on some of the resale websites, are those prices negotiable, can you offer lower ppt than listed, how negotiable are they usually, are you better off getting your own financing, how low is too low for Disneys ROFR, are there better resale sites than others?

I hope this in not too long of a list of questions.

if you go with the first one - go through the disboards -- click on the DVC resales above. (so disboards get credit for it)

depends upon what you want - OKW, BWV, VWL are all sold out - although DVC was offering add ons at BWV but I think you needed to be a DVC member to get this.

alot of member went the 2nd mortgate route.

yes you can definitely offer a lower amount when you go through a resalers - just don't be disappointed if it refused. Remember you don't want to go low or DVC will buy it back. DVC has first right of refusal and they use it. then you have to start over with another seller.

We are currentlly selling some of our contracts and have had the best luck with Jaki & **** at A Timeshare Broker. Shontell at Timeshares By Resale is also very good. I would stay clear of Lee Reid as Disney does not endorse using him.
You can always put in an offer but most contracts are priced to sell. It's hard to say when Disney will exercise it's FROR. I have read some have been bought back at $70/pt and others go through at $67/pt. I think it depends on inventory and waitlist requests.
