DVC Premium Pass Deal for 2013

I hope they offer it again. We added an extra trip this year to try out the water parks for the first time. That makes 3 trips - our most ever, over the course of our PAP.

We were one those who bought in Oct shortly before going in October and bought a second one which we won't use until Nov of this year. Earlier this year (I think it was in February or March), we were contacted via email for a survey which asked a number of questions including whether buying the pass for the special rate had caused us to plan more trips to WDW for the year, to which we answered yes. I assumed many others got the same survey and, hopefully, also answered yes. Possibly we will see something again.

I received the same survey and answered "yes" that it helped us go more times.

I certainly can not speak for everyone, but it will cause me to make more trips, and change my planning

That brings up an interesting tangent. Maybe the reason DVC offered this deal was to see if members would visit WDW more. The payoff for DVC is that the more members want to visit WDW in a year, the more points they will need. :teacher:

Or you stay in studios instead of 1br to double the # of nights you stay. We had planned to bank 2013 points and do an extended trip summer 2014 in a 1 br. Still doing at least a week in 2014, but in a studio now since we are going in August AND December this year because of the PAP.

I would buy PAP's in a heartbeat if they offeredthem at that price point again. *hint hint*

With the PAP discount, we decided to go to Disneyworld twice and did not renew our Disneyland Premium Passes. I'm waiting of DW PAP discount again. Better yet, I continue to hope for a discounted Premier Pass which would allow us to go to both places. Sigh....

We are praying they do! We have a trip in October and planning a vow renewal for next spring. So, that would make us extra happy!!!!

We are right there with you. We actually let our Disneyland passes run out, just waiting out to see what happens with the passes in WDW. If they bring it back, we will likely buy those passes instead of local passes out here for Disneyland... and if they do Premiere Passes at a Discount, we are so there!

We keep kicking ourselves in the but for not doing it...

I hope they bring back this $399 deal. But if they do offer a DVC Discount on the Premier Pass, I think I would go with that. And the other thing I really wish they would do is allow DVC Members to get in on monthly payments for WDW APs. Hey aren't most of us DVC Members used to making monthly payments already ;)

We definitely got our money's worth out of the PAP. We'll have managed to get in 52 days after our Sept trip. I certainly hope they offer it again as I'd buy one.

Well that's us...bought the AP....such a deal...we usually go once a year....but since purchasing the AP we will do a total of 3 trips... i might try and squeeze in an extra one to..make it 4...
Also purchased the TIW card....we are happy DVC people...

We have not activated our PAPs yet. We will this October and are planning at least 3, maybe even 4 trips during the use year of the pass. We would love if DVC hade another PAP discount offer.:thumbsup2

I read a rumor that said the reason for the discount was because they found too many DVCers were booking stays at a DVC resort and then heading to Universal/Seaworld/ETC.

This was their way of "tricking" us back into the Disney parks.

We did that last summer. We got the Super Grovers on Black Friday for less than the cost of 2 non hopping days at Disney.
Those passes have expired, so I would be open to being tricked backed into the Disney parks.

They're getting the money out of our pocket's too. We're planning at least two extra trips because of the special on passes and we may take a couple more next year, too. We're actually hoping they don't offer them again because we're so bummed about MDE we feel like we should go on strike...but those darn passes keep making us creep back in. (No willpower what-so-ever:rotfl:)

The end of August will be our 4th trip on these passes. The 20% discount was good but they cut it to 10%. We only used one water park. It seems like the regular ap is good enough unless the pap is cheaper.

I too hope they offer this deal or something similar. We were able to do Feb 2013 and April 2013. I think we can get one day out of our passes when we go in Feb 2014.

I am probably not the "target market" I bought a pass i hope to activate later this month, but I would have bought a "normal" AP anyway and I don't think it's gotten too many extra days with the exception of this upcoming trip. It's one of those, "well if I can get DVC I have 'free' lodging, I already paid for the AP voucher, I have two free car days so it's just a few expenses" :rotfl2: (My company is buying the plane ticket!)

If it's cheaper then I will buy this pass, but I won't normally buy the Premium. I don't do that many water park days.
