DVC Premium Pass Deal for 2013

I've been giving a lot of thought to this lately...

What if they offered a 30 day premium ticket for $399

You had 30 days to use....but 365 days from the day of activation to use all of the days.... what do you think?

Would you pay $399 for that?

A $399 PAP for a Florida Resident DVC member... but for families that live 1,000+ miles away.... a PAP really isn't the BEST ticket fit.

If they are not going to offer the $399 PAP, I think the 30 day Premium Pass ticket would be a GREAT compromise.

If they REALLY want DVC to pay off for Disney Parks - they are really going to have to focus on keeping families returning to the parks, year after year, multiple times a year, for extended vacations.

DVC wins.... sells more points....

Disney wins... sells more.....everything...

Also... would you pay for a Disney rewards program? (Other than Disney Visa Rewards)...

I think Disney needs to think outside the box and innovate more when it comes to keeping DVC interesting and exciting for members - adding new and attractive benefits that keep members invested...especially as Dues increase!

I am not understanding your 30 day pass - it sounds like the same concept as an AP except being limited to 30 days instead of say 31 or 35 or 45 and no discount perks. :confused3

BUT...Why limit myself to 30 days if my PAP for the same price can get me more annual days?

Of course a PAP would be superior to a 30 day pass if they are the same price; my comment was made assuming we will not see the $399 PAP again. We bought the $399 PAPs, but I don't see us ever paying for five PAPs even at the reduced DVC price. I would love to see the $399 PAP special again - that was a great deal! Although we will never have more than 30 park admissions a year so long as we have kids' school and sports schedules to deal with, so a less expensive pass that is fewer days but spread over a year would appeal to me.

a 30 day, 1 year, reduced price pass might work for us (i usually get at least 36-46 days out of an AP), but i don't see it being as beneficial for DVC/WDW as the PAP was.
quite a few people booked an additional vacation(s), and/or stayed longer, went to the parks more (spending more on dining, souvies, etc), finally tried the water parks, etc because they bought the DVC PAP.
i would think that DVC and WDW would want to see some possible benefit for their entities before offering a "special pass/price" - 30 days might actually reduce some vacation stays.

interesting suggestion tho :thumbsup2

I really hope that they offer the discount again. I bought that pass last year ( I didnt know I could buy another one that would keep me going till 2014... :guilty:) and I planned a lot of my vacation around the pass. Im going on the Dream in about a month (planned that before the pass expired so I can have some park time before and after) and me and my mother decided to squeeze in one more trip in October for Food & Wine before my pass expires October 15th. Part of me wants them to offer it again (hello more weekend trips to see the Mouse) but the airfare is killing me...
