I think this is possible, but not sure.....

My sister wants to buy a DVC PAP. She's going on a trip without my parents (who are the members). Can she redeem the voucher without them? (She lives with them so she has ID to math their DVC member address)

Since your parents are not traveling with her, have your parents contact Member Services and pre-purchase a will call DVC PAP. Then Member Service can make a notation on the ticketing file that your sister is not traveling with your parents, but is entitled to the discounted PAP. The issuing CM can see the notation when your sister picks up her PAP at Guest Services at one of the parks or DtD.

Thanks!! I thought this was the case!

Ask for the GSR number when you call to order the pass. The CM helping us with a similar situation said this is helpful when picking up the pass.

won't she still need to show an ID with the address on it.

Yes, my mother had to show an ID with our address on it. She was also asked for our member card, which I had sent along with her. Not sure if asking for the member card is standard, but asking for photo ID with a matching address definitely is.

I am sorry if this sounds dumb... but I am a new DVC member as of a week ago so I am learning. BUT... if I live with my parents and we share the same address, can they get discounts too? :confused3

Yes, as long as your ID shows the same address.

they can get the discounted PAP, as chuck described (you would need to order the vouchers, then they could pick them up/redeem with IDs matching your address).
just to clarify howver: they would need to have a DVC card (ie, are listed on your DVC contract) to get any other DVC specific discounts/promos.

I am the only "owner" though. Meaning I am the only person financially responsible. I was told they had to be part of that to get the discounts? :confused3

Yes, to get other discounts ( dining and things like that) they would need to have a DVC card, thus an owner. But immediate family living in your house can get the PAP pass discount.

Thanks! One more question then... If my mom already has a full price annual pass can she change it to a premium?

The answer seems to vary. If it is a voucher, and not an active pass, people have reported that they will exchange them. If it is an activated pass, experiences seem to vary. Some have been able to upgrade an active pass, without a refund of the price difference. Others, including myself, were told we can not upgrade to the premium, but were sold a renewal voucher for the premium pass at $399 for next year.

Thanks. So probably the best thing to do is to just go to guest services with her and ask? And hope for magic? pixiedust:
