Now maybe you don’t value those pools, but I certainly do. Our extended family day at CSR was fabulous (other than lovebugs), for one example!

This is great actually - I wasn’t sure if we could pool hop to non DVC resorts - that makes the list much longer! My kids love to try different pools and they love the clown slide at BWV so we might take advantage of that perk on our next trip! POR, CBR and CSR pools seem really nice - we might take a look over there! It would make for a fun rest day!
Is it only valid on days we are staying on DVC points? How do they check our DVC status (do we need to bring a card, or via Magic Bands?)

Per Disney, yes, you have to be staying on your points:

When staying on your Membership at any Disney Vacation Club Resort at Walt Disney World Resort or at Disney's Vero Beach Resort, you and any Guests staying with you are permitted to take advantage of complimentary alternative pool use

You must present your MagicBand or valid Disney Vacation Club Membership Card to use the other Resort hotel pools.

CSR is going to be no-fly through at least October of this year.

Here's hoping they remove Luna Park pool from the list at least temporarily while Storm along Bay is closed and sharing Luna Park.

Honestly, I suspect ALL pool hopping is off right now. I am surprised it has not been announced.

The SAB-LP is an exception of course, but that's not hopping.

IMO they should make it reciprocal for all DVC resorts or end it all together anyway.

Well they did announce: Guests entering a resort hotel will require a confirmed room reservation or a confirmed dining reservation for day guests.

I don't know if they define day guest as somebody staying offsite or somebody just visiting a resort for the day and staying onsite as well.
