DVC Points

I'm new to this point thing. Can someone please explain to me how it works. We are planning a trip to WDW on **/**/**. I checked on the points calculator and for *** two bed. vacation home is *** pts. Do I just buy *** pts from someone and they make the reservation for me. I hope someone can help. Thanks!!

So, are you trying to rent points from a DVC member? Or are you thinking about purchasing DVC?

While it is referred to as Renting Points, what you are really doing is having a DVC Member make a reservation for you using their points, and renting that reservation from them. You actually never control the points or the reservation, those are always under the control of the DVC Member.
