DVC points for cruise

Is it possible to pay DCL directly and upgrade your cabin for a cruise that you have reserved through DVC using points? Has anyone ever done this?

I don't think you can modify your DVC reservation on DCL without going through DVC.

We upgraded one of our cabins at the port and paid the difference. The two cabins were originally booked through DVC - I had one person paying cash and one person paying with points for each cabin. I believe I also paid points for my daughter in one of those cabins. We went from a cat. 11 to a 5 or 6 (need to look) for about $650. (We also wanted to make sure a cabin was available not too far from the other cat. 11 where sons were in - for laundry purposes, etc.).

AnnaS- I am happy to hear from someone who has done this. I am wondering if this can be done before you get to the port, say at the 60 day out window?

No, I think the only way to do what you want to do will be to try to do an upgrade at the port.
