Hey everyone! In July I'm meeting my brother and sister-in-law at SSR. They would have spent the previous week camping and will be bringing a pop-up tent trailer. Are they permitted to have that in the SSR parking lot? They will not be staying in it (they will be with me) but can they keep it parked in the lot (yes, it would be closed up). Or is there special parking for cars with trailers?

It's my first DVC trip so I really don't know.

Thanks for the info.

I haven't seen anything specific for SSR.

I can tell you, unless they've changed it the last couple of years, that at OKW the rule was the RV had to fit between the lines for the parking spaces, and could be no more than 24 feet long. I think the between the lines requirement is meant to prohibit parking a vehicle sideways, thus taking up 3 or 4 individual parking spaces.

At BCV RV parking is allowed provided one parks at the back side of the lot.

VWL is similar, with parking at the far end of the lot.

BWV allows RV parking but in the overflow lot, by the taxi waiting area. That's an immediate left turn right after the guard shack.

I would think something like your popup shouldn't be an issue, especially if you parked it as far to the back so as not to take up spaces by those who would be coming and going more often.

You might have to call just to be sure, but I would think the rules would be similar to OKW's.

Just returned from SSR, we saw several RV's parked sideways taking up numerous spaces. I would call the resort to find out their policy.

A popuo will fit into 1 spot but I would try to put it in a corner spot awy from the prime spots, I would also chock the wheels and lock the hitch so it can not be moved to easy.
