DVC owners in non DVC DW resorts???

Has anyone ever booked concierge at a non-dvc resort w/ their points????
Seems like all I am getting is garden view rooms.
We booked the Poly with our incentive points but still have some more points to use so I will call MS back after the 30 day limit and try to upgrade.
Any ideas?

Stayed April 11-17 Lagoon View = 522 points booked last August. I wonder if they have modified their policy as I have called for future dates and Garden View was only available too.

By the way, I stayed at Grand Floridian 4/17-21 and all I can say is the Poly is way better if you have kids plus the people at concierge desk went above and beyond for me.

We do have two young kids so that is good. Originally we wanted to go in December but seeing that everything was getting full I just decided to do Nov. We can still do MVMCP, less crowds and possibly warmer weather.
I will keep trying though, hopefully I can get something. We are there for 11 days in Nov. and doing the Deluxe so I need to start planning soon.

We did AKL concierge a few years ago, savannah view. We had the same thing booked for our March '07 trip, but ended up canceling it for various reasons, and one of the things we booked with our leftover points was Poly, but we booked garden view b/c we didn't have enough points for lagoon view!

We still have plenty of points to use so hopefully an upgrade will come thru...I'll just keep calling after the 30 days have passed since I made the ressie.
