DVC Online Tour---$40 gift card?

I received the card in the mail on Saturday and did the call today. Talked to a very friendly rep named Vikki for 20 minutes. No pressure at all, a nice conversation and $40 gift card, well worth the call.

Hey all! I did not receive a snail mail card with the offer but I got the # and did the phone tour on Saturday. I had ms. Kathy and the whole tour lasted about ten minutes. She was very nice and said that the $40.00 gift card would arrive in four to five weeks and would need a signature.

Hope this helps and Happy New Year!

So, even though the card says it is an online tour, it sounds like everyone is getting stuck in a phone call??

The rep I spoke with (around 12/23) asked me if I was near a PC. As I was upstairs and not near a PC I told her "no", she then replied that she would "just be able to do a phone tour then".

So....I would have gotten the on-line version had I had a PC with me.

Thanks all! I just called the number, read off the first 6, and took the tour. It was super fast - I really thought it would be longer. Yay!

Did not get a card in the mail, but called today and no problem, about 10 minutes later she said my GC would be in the mail and i should receive it before my trip Feb 3! (here's hopin'). Free $40, thanks DIS.

Just got done with my call. 11 minutes total, maybe about 5 talking to the actual guy doing the presentation. Very low key and relaxed, mostly just asking if I wanted the weblinks and dvd. Should get my gift card in 6 weeks:cool1:

I called twice in the last few days and the guy that I talked to said they were super busy (both times) and I could call back later if I didn't want to wait on hold so long. So I called tonight and finally got it done! The guy (Bill) that I talked to was very quick with the info, said I would recieve the packet by the end of the week and the gift card in about a month. And I was done, within about 5 minutes!

I got Bill also, and was done in less than 5 min. Thinking about DVC, cause we've never stayed at a deluxe.

Finally did it today after my son went to PM kindergarten! Christina was chatty while she took my info. Got to listen to some of the music from Splash Mountain while I was waiting for Jason to come on the line. Talked to him for not quite a half hour ~ really nice and not pushy. Not really interested in buying but it did get me thinking about maybe renting points! Told me gc would take about 45 days to arrive. :thumbsup2

Easiest $40 I ever made. :lmao:
I received the postcard yesterday and just called.
The people were very nice and the Guide did not pressure me at all.
He went though a few questions, then a couple of selling points and asked if I had questions. As soon as I told him that I was losing my job end of January, (true). He said just let us know if we are ever interested.
:hippie:

Had the call on 4.Dec and still no gift card. I have received 2 phone messages, 3 emails and 1 letter even though I was clear I couldn't buy in. :confused3

Just got this in the mail too - I got dh to do it. Thing is I have a gut feeling I've probably gotten these before and thrown them away - DUH!!!

first and then the $40 gift card?

are they separate i mean or together?

thanks guys

Just got off the phone with my "tour guide" and he said the FedEx package with the info will arrive in 2-3 days and the gift card will arrive in 30-45 days.

I talked to George and was on the phone for less than 10 minutes. He asked if I was familiar with the Disney Vacation Club or any time shares or had I checked into any, and I said no not at all, but I'm a member of a Disney message board (wink wink) who has a section completely devoted to the DVC and it is very informative. Done and done, free $40 GC on it's way.:cheer2:

They are separate. I got the FedEx package with all the DVC info and then received the gift card (also by FedEx) about 2 weeks later.

Just an FYI about the Fed Ex pkg with the gift card for those waiting for it to arrive. You have to be home to sign for the package. Fed Ex called me the day before the scheduled delivery to verify someone would be home to accept the package. They also told me 30-45 days but I got mine in a week.

Got my FedEx package with the DVC info yesterday. Very well put together info. Just wish we had the extra $ but it's not in the cards. The coloring books were great too. Just wish I'd told them I had three kids since the niece is going on the next trip with us and it would have been great to have a book for her too.
