Coming Soon – The Newly Enhanced Disney Vacation Club Member Website!
Find out about the renovations we're making to enrich your vacation planning experience.

to the Upcoming News. Has anyone heard any rumors of what those changes might be?

What would you like to see changed?

I wish they would add the functionality where we could modify a reservation without having to call. I would rather be able to manage almost every aspect online and only call with questions. But I'm also new, so I do have questions. But once I figure out the nuances, let me have control of my reservation online.

I'm trying to be polite here but the new Disney website drives me crazy. I have log-in issues, lost reservations, have to manually input reservations, can't cancel reservations online, have to call to cancel reservations, can't add celebrations, page errors, the list goes on and on. I hope the member site does not have problems like this. Keeping my fingers crossed.

OMG, I can't keep up with all this new stuff and I'm not that old!!!
Between RFID, FP+, Magical Experience or whatever, wondering if I can no longer get my 10 day non expiring hoppers, I'm feeling overwhelmed and I LOVE to plan my Disney trips!

Thanks for the information about the site. I'll take a look.

I would love to see the site be more dynamic, maybe show availability for dates searched instead of just showing what is not available. Maybe allow us to link reservations ourselves. I would really like to see them add a function that allows you to hold a reservation for a limited amount of time, maybe just one hour. With banking borrowing and all the different point seasons sometimes it's a little more complicated and there have been times when I've had to double check a few things before confirming.

But this is Disney, and none of these things will happen. In all likelihood, we will never see the website as dynamic as we'd like.

Thanks for the dose of reality. You are probably correct. It will be a cosmetic makeover with lots of glitches.

Dreaming, I wish I could put in that I want a Deluxe Studio for these dates and it would check them all. Now, I have to try about three options just to see if there is any availability. Just another dream...

No Kidding!!!!!::yes::

Well if the same people who recently worked on the current Disney website or the new Disney "my experience" app is doing the work, we need to worry. Ever since the new site appeared, I've yet to ever get any of my ADRs or reservations to show up there. Everytime I log into the DVC website and it works so well (at least for me), I get a big relief to see everything right. Not sure if anyone has tried to make an ADR or try to log into the passholder site recently, but it's nearly impossible. Every time I log in and go to another page it logs me right out. I find myself logging in over and over again.

Being able to use and see transferred points online would be a good start - so that when I totally forget - for a second - where I did put them - I wouldn't swear in an online modification.

And being able to instantly have a linking/continuing reservation join hands together and say HELLO in instant joy.

Considering MS hardly knows what to do with them these days - conflicting stories etc. Different outcomes.

And seeing all available for a unit type like many said - or at least a link to more options.

Otherwise I really like the site. :goodvibes And truly hope they don't play with it too much. It lacks some important abilities but I like the layout - enjoy the simplicity - and I've been able to find all options very early in the release without any instructions. And I've cancelled and rebooked without any issues. In fact, I would say with more confidence than dealing with MS.

Most of all I'm extremely grateful to have it as I know there are some great CMs at MS - but the bad have made me do anything to avoid it. Not everyday transactions but a lack of confidence around their own modification system and getting into other reservations that have nothing to do with the call. Drives me batty.

Imagine what a non-planner feels like. :rotfl2:

I'll tell you - like keeping on the same don't do anything path. ;)

If you think about it - it's probably planners whose heads will hurt.

This post made me think. I've always had wonderful trips. I just came back from an awful one - first time ever. I'm doing a TR to try to make it wonderful. ;):goodvibes Years and years of trips and DVC trips. Go with the flow personality even if there are issues. And I left thinking "I think they've taken on WAY TOO much. My awful was very much tied to IT - most issues went back to IT and a lack of communication between departments. I had struggles from day one to now at home. And I'm talking simple necessities of a vacation - nothing above or beyond that. I've never ever experienced this - and my thoughts are they are trying so hard with multiple people to help you yet sometimes they can't stop the train. :rotfl2: (And I hope that my truly weird experience was just a blip and that it won't ever happen again - trying to be optimistic)

Yep my thoughts - I think they've taken on too much. Simplicity is lovely.

You can still at this time purchase non expiring hoppers, but not online. You will have to either call to get them or get them at Disney World.

I do understand I just entered our reservation manually and it shows as a room only DVC reservation but we have the dining plan. The dvc site shows it as correct though. I wonder if this is suppose to be or its the one of many glitches.
