i just called dvc ms accounting dep. to find out when my closing is/was and she said "what did your guide tell you?" i said within two weeks from the payoff and he did not have a day for me. basically she didnt want to answer my question and if she did she would snap back at me. finally i got my answer, we will be closed by tomorrow, and i was also told if i have anymore questions to contact my guide. im scared now, to try to make any future ressies, i know i am a newbie, but i dont think we or anyone should be treated like that,if i want snappiness i would call my mother,no heart feelings mom. has anyone else exp. this?:( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

I have never spoken to a rude CM at MS, but I have spoken to some who were much more helpful than others. I would say that you should chalk it up to someone's bad day and not let it sour your impression of DVC. (Maybe the "nicest" CM's work in reservations and the "nice, but not quite as nice" ones work in accounting;) )

Seriously, each CM should give his or her name when they answer. Note it, and you can ask to speak to a supervisor if there is a real problem.

BTW, Welcome Home!!

I have to say I'm sorry about that you had such a bad experience. I have called 4 times this year alone; once to make a ressie, 2x to change that same ressie, and once to change the account my dues are paid from and all times I have had great service. I will say the one in member accounting had the least amount of "sunshine" in his voice, but I have a feeling that comes w/ the nature of the position. :(

The rudeness you experienced in my opinion is not the norm, so have no fear when next you call DVC, the CM may have just needed a new infusion of pixie dust *crossess fingers*

oh.. and Welcome Home!!

Sorry.

They shouldn't have talked to you like this. Maybe she was having a bad day.

Were you not able to get a hold of your guide? Maybe she was ticked because you called accounting. That still doesn't justify her behavior. If she had the answer for you she should have given it to you at the beginning of the conversation when you asked. You would have had your answer and she wouldn't have had to carry on a conversation when she obviously didn't want to.

Sorry if I am rambling but I just don't like crappy customer service.

I've never had any complaint with MS, even the accounting dept. All have seemed happy to be doing their job, not even a trace of an attitude when I was having a mental moment about my points balance. Don't ever hesitate to call MS because of this experience, they really are good people.

thank you,
you are all wonderful people and i enjoy this dis board, you people really know how to put the magic back into the dvc.
your right life goes on and i cant wait to make that first ressis, i know you dvcers could help!;) ;)

I am sorry you had an unfortunate experience with the Accounting Department. I will say that in the 7 years we have been DVC members, I have never had a bad experience with any CM.

I also called accounting this morning and cm was JUDY and she was very nice and helpful. So maybe you just got the one in a million rude cm today.

No rude CM's at MS for me. I did have one lady who sort of rushed and pushed me along once. Maybe it was for her time to clock out or she had to run to the ladies room. I excussed myself and called back and got someone more laid back.

I am sorry to read you had a rude CM when you called Member Accounting. As someone else mentioned, CMs usually give their name at the beginning of the conversation. I don't recall ever talking to a CM who was not pleasant. If I ever encounter one who is not up to Disney standards, I would be the first to let someone in management know. On the other hand, I try to compliment those who do a good job to their supervisor. DVC CM do not want unhappy members & they do want to know when something is not right, is not happy, etc.

I'm sorry for you to....sounds like you got the one in a million bad call. I have actually had MS call me back to make suggestions on how I could book differently and save points. (i.e. it is cheaper to have a 2 BR than a 1 BR and a studio)

It sounds like you have had your one bad experience and the rest should be great!
