I'd love the VPR, too - I bet they could fit in a few more longhouses somewhere. When we were there in Fall 2003, we found it quite quiet - even the lobby wasn't that busy, except at dinnertime.
calypso makes a good point, though: if they had to reduce the number of hotel rooms at PR or GF, that would be cannibalizing a good thing, as those two resorts have high return rates. CR, OTOH, needs something to perk it up (I'm still voting for the same "retro-future" face-lift they gave [Dr]Tomorrowland.)
I wonder. Regardless of where it is put, as long as a new DVC Resort is attached to an existing facility (a la BCV, BWV & VWL), what is the minimum number of room that would need to be built to justify / make a profit / keep MF at a minimum? Playing "Let's Pretend", assume they chose the Polynesian. If they built one DVC longhouse, with 40 villas per floor, 3 floors (to blend in), would that be enough to "make it worth Disney's while"?
