Thanks so much DVC Mike for taking us along on your vacation
I really appreciate it. :goodvibes

Mike's posting of these pictures has caused me to rethink our plans for our October trip. This trip will be to celebrate my 60th birthday plus to go to F&W, which we've never done before. Right now I have a ressie for a week in a Studio at VWL (our home resort). But I had planned to try to switch to BWV or BCV at 7 months, so as to be closer to Epcot for F&W. But after seeing Mike's pictures, I've decided heck no, we'll just stay right there at VWL. The bus isn't that far from Epcot and we'd be staying at our favorite resort.

Today is Day 3, and we still didn't go to a theme park today.

This afternoon, we took the boat over to Ft. Wilderness.

Mike...If you get a chance could you snap some photos of Pirates of the Carribean ride and post them here? I'm looking for a camera that does a pretty good job documenting dark rides (not only at Disney but other amusement/theme parks too). If you don't make it that way, that's OK. Don't make a special trip for it.

Thanks. As always, I'm very grateful for your pictures.

Mike - when would you use the monopod? Have you used it on this vacation?

You see the monopod being in used in places where they don't allow tripods (i.e., sporting events) due to safety (you can't just put up a tripod anywhere and have people tripping over the legs). They give you vertical stability.

I haven't used it yet.

Yes, we love staying at the Wilderness Lodge when it's cooler at Disney! The theme really fits the weather. Of course, you realize the big fireplace in the lodge really doesn't give off that much heat.

No, but in your minds eye it does make you feel better!;)

It's been a couple of years since we did Hoop dee Doo, but I'm glad to see our favorite actresses are still doing the show! LOVE the show much more than the food there!

Mike I always love your reports. The photos are always excellent, and you always do such a great job of making one feel as if they are there with you. Kudos again. I love TR's with pictures!

Great shots!! And Glad you enjoyed Hoop De Doo. We saw it last year with a CM friend who works at WL. We had a blast, lots of laughs and good times.

Oh my, do you know if the buffalo head is from a real buffalo? Hoop De Doo is on my list of to-dos but my daughter will not eat anywhere with ex-live animals on the walls.

Those shots at Fort Wilderness are what really make Disney special. It goes to show show that WDW offers much more than Mickey, rides and waiting in long lines! I think I appreciate these pics you've posted more than any other. Thanks Mike! :thumbsup2

We really loved the Hoop-De-Doo Revue!

Thank you for sharing your vacation with us! I have lurked here for a while - especially your wonderful trip reports. I do have a question -

Would you recommend Hoop-De-Doo Revue for youung children? This is on my list of things to do, but our kids are 10, 7 and 5. Not sure if they would enjoy it as much as hubby and I.

Thanks and enjoy the rest of your trip!

Mike, loving your live report. Photos are awesome as always.

We just did the Hoop Saturday night. We do it every few years these days. Isns't it wonderful fun? discott71, your children are perfect ages for the show. Ours enjoyed it when they were even younger than yours.

Glad it is supposed to warm up. It was pretty cold at WDW last week!

I'm glad your wife is feeling better. Tell her hi for me.:wave2:
