DVC Mike Live from BLT (12/5-12/12/09)

I have a funny story to add to your ranking of best view in BLT. Our DS (almost 3yo) was ENTRANCED by the MK view for 5 days straight. It was a little boy's dream - every kind of transportation available out one window... monorails going both ways (and into the CR!), ferry boats on the lake, buses down below, even the MK train could be easily heard on the balcony.
He insisted at night that he had to sleep on the pull-out chair right at the window "so I can watch the monorail". The first night I fell asleep in the MBR hearing him announce softly every monorail that went by in his sweet way -
"green mon-o-rail, red mon-o-rail, yellow mon-o-rail...." Last week he told my husband we had to have "a builder come build a track in front of our house" so he could watch the monorail from his room!! :goodvibes

That is the sweetest story!! It made me tear-up!! Your little guy must be so cute!

Me too. DH and I shared a chuckle and an "awe how cute" when I read him the post.

Hi Mike, sorry, but I can't find my paper with your camera model on it. I remember it was an Olympus, but the rest is a blank. Would you be able to give it out one more time?
Love your TR :)

Olympus Stylus 730 - it's an all-weather point and shoot pocket camera

We had a nice meal at Narcoossee's last night. It was good, although not as good as Citricos.

A shot from the 15th floor elevator area on the North side of BLT.

Tonight, it's off to dinner at the Liberty Tree Tavern, followed by Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP).

:cool1:

Mike,
I sincerely thank you for your trip reports and pictures. You have a good eye for getting the kind of pictures that make me feel like I'm there. My own pictures do not do that. It is not always the camera, it is the eye of the person using it.

I envy you because of the amount of times you get to go to the World. But I'm thankful that I get to go at least 16 days out of the year (thank you DVC!).

I hope you never get tired of giving us trip reports and sending us pictures. They are really a blessing and help me to relax and forget about my daily troubles (if just for a few minutes).

I guess I'm saying this to let you know that your "extra effort and time" to create these threads is greatly appreciated.

Thank again,
Mark

I'm old enough to be his grandfather and I still like watching the monorail glide through the CR.:)

Thanks to Mike for creating the thread. Good to see so many nice comments from Dis-ers here.:earsboy:

I love your pictures, Mike. Please keep them coming. I too have Mike envy - in a good way, though. Perchance if you get back to the Grand Floridian, would you mind taking a picture of the marble floor inlay they did this summer? I was there in early Sept. and they were installing a marble floor with the GF logo that also had Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy (I think these were the 4). It looked like it was a really cool detail - but I didn't get to see it completed. Thanks so much if you can do it!

Mike I just wanted to express my thanks. I've enjoyed all your photos. The wonderful memories of a past holiday trip. Thank you again Mike and have a Magical Holiday.

DVC Mike, those are great pics of MK, it really makes me want to go during the holidays! The crowds look kind of big, how is it really? Have a great time at MVMCP-hope to see some pics!

Cheryl

Another great report Mike! I wish I was able to go to Disneyworld as often as you do. Maybe one day... Until then, keep the reports coming for us to enjoy!

Your pictures are crystal clear, and beautiful!!! Thank you!

Will Tiana's riverboat entertainment be around during the Christmas Party?

Bobbi:goodvibes
