I just returned from a short trip to WDW, 4 days, a couple of hours ago. Since I was taking the two Grandchildren and my DIL, and knew we would be spending most of our time at the MK, I made a cash reservation using the AP discount at the CR. Our room was in the tower and had a fantastic view of the castle. In fact, I could see the castle while laying in bed. The location seemed to be perfect for us. But, on our third night we went over to the Boardwalk. I have to say that when I walked around the BCV, home resort, I felt such peace and relaxation, it was unbelievable. I was totally shocked at my reaction. I found myself saying Aah. Even with the wonderful room we had at the CR, I found myself wishing I was at either the BCV or the BWV, our other home resort. There truly is no place like home! I am so glad that we made this investment and can not wait to go home in August! Have you had this same reaction?

Yes, I know exactly what you mean. As you can see from my sig, we are diehard Poly fans. When we were last at the Poly, we were longing to be at VWL. Don't get me wrong, we still plan on staying a few nights at the Poly now and again, but there is still "nothing like being home".

Anyway, yes we will stay at other places once in a while for variety, but VWL will always be the place we feel at home. :drinking:

I know exactly what you mean, Patty! We are the type to make a point of visiting the different resorts that give us that 'ahhhh' feeling. Whether it be for a meal or just the ambience, no matter where we stay, we always like to visit certain resorts.
