Hi all,
We own DVC (AKL). We have 160 banked points for which we are considering various options.
One idea that we are looking at is transferring the points into RCI, as it extends the expiration date for two and a half years.
I have questions about this and have searched and read. If I am missing a thread that has all the answers, please feel free to direct me that way.
We know that when we use our DVC points, there are varying amounts of points needed based on how many nights, location, type of room, and time of year.
When (if) we transfer those points into RCI:
We currently have 160 banks points. We are looking at spending a small amount of our banked points on a weekend getaway. DH seems to remember reading somewhere that we need a full 160 to do anything within RCI. We are trying to understand the process and results of taking our banked DVC points, transfer them to RCI, and then use them -- particularly if there are less than 160.

- Can we only use them in week intervals?
- Is it the same amount of points no matter where we book?
