DVC member website--having trouble getting to MY DVC & seeing contract and pts

Just wondering if I'm alone with not being able to access "MY DVC" now. When making our last reservation (last week), they had trouble accessing some of our points (they even had to call me back once they got it straightened out) and ever since I have not been able to get into "MY DVC". For a while I was getting an error page and today, it just gives me a screen without anything but pics, no text at all, no personal contract/reservation info. It used to come up with my pics of our first contract location (BCV) and all of our contract info, reservations, points, etc. If I'm alone, who would I contact that I have a problem...member services? I'm guessing if I'm the only one, there won't be much chance on it being too high of a priority to get it fixed. I miss getting to see the reservation, especially since we were on a wait list and if we get it I usually can see it there long before the paperwork comes. Thanks!

Hi, there
I've been griping on a thread on the Mouselleous section about being suddenly unable to log in to mydvc or mydisneycruise with the username and password I've been using for years at DCL and months at DVC. I called MS who told me it was because I was typing my info wrong (NOT!) When I pushed back, the MS person said she would submit a technology request to the tech group who would resolve this/contact me in "a few business days." Whatever that means. Some Disboarders who responded to my other thread said it had happend to them with varying degrees of ease/difficulty to get rectified. I'm still waiting, and can't see anything on DVC or DCL surrounding my points/reservations.

I guess the only consolation here is that you're not alone.

Just today I couldn't access the page with 'My DVC' The other pages seemed to come up all right. I hoped to check on a waitlist.

When I left the DVC Member site, a survey came up so I reported the problem with MY DVC on that survey over and over again....hopefully someone will take notice. Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone. I wish they had a link for the webmaster for DVC Member site where problems could be reported via email. Let me know if either one of you gets access to MY DVC later.

I was just trying to access this site myself....all sections were VERY SLOW (I have broadband) and I wasn't able to directly access MY DVC at all......

Now I'm getting this message on the site when I try to open MY DVC...same message I have seen for the last week since doing our last reservation:
• We are currently unable to access your Disney Vacation Club Membership information while we perform scheduled system activities.

<rant>I just got off a most frustrating call with member services, in which all 3 of the rooms I was asking for were taken, while my cast member was "kicked out" of the system, after I told her to book them.

When I spoke to the supervisor about who I can "express my displeasure" with their computer system to, he said "Go to the dvcmember.com website, and click on "Contact Us." In the subject put ATTN: Member Satisfaction Committee"

While I was on the phone I tried, and had the same errors that you all are talking about. He said "They have been having problems the last few days and tring to fix them."

Someone needs to give the computer a good kick in the backside!
</rant>

I cancelled a ressie yesterday, and my points that we supposed to be refunded to me were not showing up. The woman at MS said that there was a problem with the computer system, and that they would be credited back soon. :confused3

I was able to get the Contact Us link to work and I sent in a message regarding the MY DVC site being non-accessible. I made the subject relate to the MY DVC website not working so the problem would be reported to the IT dept.

Of course, the response is they will get back to us in 3 days so hopefully within that time, the problem will surface and get put on the burner to solve.

My husband works in IT (not Disney of course) and the "test" phase that all "changes" need is many times simply ignored because of the time it takes to test and they tend to put things into production mode much too early causing headaches such as we are seeing with all the problems regarding MY DVC and the problems that were going on for the AKV reservations I saw in other threads. This drives my husband crazy because he's a problem solver and always does a lot of testing before implementing anything. Also, you have to test all web material against all the web browsers and operating systems (which many times is not done...they think "gee, it works on my machine").

When DVC was boasting about web changes, I wondered if it might explode with problems.

Best wishes to the IT problem solvers at DVC to successfully find and fix the problems!!

It's not the computer that needs that good kick. I'm appalled at the apparent lack of testing that is done before new software is unleashed on Disney's computers. Either they are hiring very inexperienced or inept programmers or management is imposing impossible deadlines on the developers (the "build it, ship it, test it" mentality).

Hey, I got feedback from my email already so they know they have a problem and are working to resolve it....

"Good Afternoon,
At this time we are aware you are unable to view any point activity.
They are working on the system with no estimated time to be fixed.
Have a nice day,
Joe"

I didn't break it, it wasn't me...that's my story and I'm sticking with it. :rotfl:

I can log in...I can see the different contract numbers I have. But when I click on Vacation Points to see my reservations, I get the "Sorry - the page you are trying to access is currently not available."

FRUSTRATING!

Yes, I'm getting that same message today, as well. They must be working on the site again. I hope they get everything fixed soon.

I as able to log on and see my scheduled vacations...so I guess they are up and running (for the moment)

By the way, I just tried again and got the "sorry message". I cleared my cache and reloaded the DVC member site again and was able to see my points, so be sure to clear your cache so you are not just loading the same page from earlier viewing if you got the sorry message earlier today.

I cleared the cache, rebooted, did it all...no luck. Called MS who told me lots of work was being done on the site for a June 1 relaunch. She gave me my original club ID and pin and said to go register again as if I were registering for the first time but with a different username/password. When submitted, the form didn't accept my club id and pin that she gave me. This is driving me crazy, as now there seems to be no way to be able to see my points or check on my reservations for at least several more days and maybe longer unless I call and ask. I mentioned that I was concerned about my AKV reservations disappearing as others had reported on Disboards, and she said that hadn't really happened to anyone. Hmmm.
