DVC Member Renting extra points?

My sister and her family are going to OKW in November and I am going along with them. She has a 1 BR, which won't fit an extra adult, so I planned on renting a studio at OKW.

Well, the OKW studios are sold out, so I can rent SSR (only resort with availability in studios), or pay an AP rate at a value/moderate.

I just looked at the availability thread and I see that 2 BRs are available for November at OKW. Would it be possible for my sister to rent 30 extra points (she has no more available at all beyond what she is using for this trip) and change her reservation to a 2 BR?

Remember that the availability thread may of may not reflect true availability...it depends upon members here to sumbit their booking experiences.

Assuming your sister is a member, then yes, she should be able to receive a transfer from another member and book the 2 bedroom, if it is available.

Before she rents the points, check with member services to make sure it is available now. Even then, it is kind of risky, she could get the transfer and then find out it is not availability when she calls to actually book it.
