DVC Member Golf

I'll be going to OKW and AKR next summer during leave, and usually play 2 or 3 rounds of golf while we're there. Now that we'll finally be going on our own points, I'm wondering about the DVC member golf membership. I know it's $50 per year, but the member site says you have to purchase it at a course. I'm stationed overseas, but we want to make tee times as far out as possible. Can we make them without actually having the golf membership yet? Thanks for any insight.

Yes, my DH makes his tee times every trip without having the DVC member golf card with him. Then when he checks in to play his first round of golf, he buys it then. You can make tee times on the Disney site. Have fun!
