DVC Member Cruise ~ August 24, 2015

Just as an FYI - I myself like early breakfast - but will go with the group. I don't sleep much so I am up early. I think any option where we can get the best choice for a large group would be nice. I enjoyed the Enchanted Garden for Breakfast on our CC day on our Nov cruise - it was rather empty when we went and the service was fast. I believe we went around 8:00 AM. How was it when you were there? The ship was sold out on our cruise (right before Thanksgiving) so everything was packed most of the time.
The kitten was a rescue pet - he is a Maine Coon Cat mix - he is so cute! We named him Mingo (from Daniel Boone show). He is 6 months old today! All of our pets are rescue pets.
Would hate to sell my house - huge pain - sorry you are having to deal with it - more of a pain to pack and move - but so nice once it is all done! Hope things go smooth and pass quickly! Keep thinking about all the fun you will have once this is all done!

I have had 2 cats in my life, Candy and Snitz. They were rescued, as have been all 5 dogs, over the years. Our current pet is Belle, soon to be 11, we have had her for 3 years.
I must include my goldfish, all $.10 feeder variety, many of whom have lived in my small out door pond for 10+ years! They have reproduced some, but there are still some originals in the mix!
I think having a Maine Coon Cat mix would be wonderful, they are amazing from what I have read about them.
If 8AM sounds good to you, it sounds good to me...let's suggest 8 AM in Enchanted Garden on the first CC day. This year my cabin mate did the 5 K at CC that was held on the second CC day. Hopefully that will happen next year, so folk could plan on doing that on the second day, but have breakfast with the group on the first day.

Sounds Wonderful! I hope a lot of people will want to join us!
My Dog - Riley is 9 but acts like a puppy - very hyper - he is a beagle lab mix - super nice - but thinks he is 9 pounds not 75 pounds. Sydney our cat is 12 - she has always been a crabby cat - she has gotten mellow in her older years - she will come along and get along with Mingo - he is just to much kitten for her right now - gets on her nerves - she is not a morning cat and that is when we have issues. My DD keeps trying to have fish - we get them - they die - we get more - they die - it is a pattern. We are due to purchase more fish - we are down to one or two right now. Not sure what she does to them.
It is like animal kingdom in my backyard - I have all kinds of wild animals - chimpmunks, rabbits, deer, squirrels, skunks, raccoons, snakes (various kinds), frogs, owls, eagles, bats, hummingbirds, all kinds of birds, a chicken once - possums, a beaver once -and all kinds of other little creatures and I live in a subdivision - not out in the woods! I do enjoy seeing on the little animals - well most of them.

Ok, we have chipmunks. I have the silly tag due to our efforts to get rid of them, we found that trapping and letting go in a park works best.

I do feed birds, and have enjoyed hummingbird antics all summer long. We have woodpeckers cardinals and goldfinches too. All birds are welcome, yes we get some hawks too.

It is the suburbs here, yes to snakes, bunnies and more, I love to see frogs in my pond.

Over feeding fish is I think is biggest cause of death. I grew up in a city, was not able to have pets other than a parakeet and tropical fish. I used to have 4 tanks!

DVC has asked for feedback specifically concerning the 2014 MC. I do not remember being asked to comment on previous MCs. I was so pleased with the cruise, but still could offer suggestions.

Small steps in the right direction! Had to buy DH a new truck - his old one died (well it was on the death bed) - it gave a good long 10 year life! So he is a happy camper right now!

My cabin mate went to the Comedy of Mary Ellen Hooper and enjoyed it a lot!!...I forget why I was late, no seating left for me, so I went to Up Late with Disney Legend Tony Baxter, which I had missed previously.

I enjoy playing games at DVC events...did at Vacations You Never Outgrow...won a small personal fan..as we left that event, we each got an Aulani resort pin. I like to collect pins like that.

Also, I enjoy movies, and on the cruise saw Maleficent, The Hundred/foot Journey, Planes Fire and Rescue with Bonus Material and Frozen. Wanted to see Guardians of the Galaxy, but would not give up seeing Stacia Martin. If Stacia is doing something, I will be there!

As a nice souvenir, we each got an exclusive Disney Files Magazine which outlined the highlights of the cruise, August 24-28, 2014.

The last MC I was on was only 3 nights....this was much better.

PPS. There were normal DCL things like Bingo, Trivia, Family Games, Kareoke, and of course the 3 Disney productions..Golden Mickey's, Villains Tonight and Disney's Believe. The special show Broadway and Beyond was beyond my Expectations!

In Ohio the weather is definitely changing to fall. I still have hummingbirds at my feeder, and I hope they do not overstay, they need to head south! Right now we are on our way to Cape May...640 miles...need to see my mom and address some house issues. We share a vacation home there with my sister, Nancy. Tom is driving.

You are not kidding regarding all there is to do. I have been on other DCL cruises, so I did miss the Golden Mickey's ... Maleficent was playing then. They gave us a very convenient schedule showing the special Member Cruise things. You were able to see all 4 days schedule ahead of time. This was apart from the Navigators which gives the program one day at a time.

I LOVE the parking sign! It looks great! How are things going? I am enjoying the last bit of my humming birds - they stay until the first part of Oct and then they fly the south. They came very early this year - March. Plan on sanding my porch this week as they are not calling for any rain! Maybe I can get it done this week and then I can decorate for Halloween! Hard to believe it is that time already.

That's an ambitious job you have planned!

We're heading back to Ohio. Tom has a cousin who is a DVC Member, and was not on this year's MC, and I was able to gift her with a Parking Sign! She was Estatic! My cabin mate this year was not a member, but a good friend of mine and she gave hers to me for Anne Marie.

Tom & I are both originally from NJ, people tell me that's where we should retire to, but tax concerns make FL more attractive. Have you always lived in MO?

We don't see hummingbirds much before May in Ohio. My sister & I did see one at our Mother's nursing home on Saturday.
