We will be joining you all on the DVC member cruise, it myself and my wife Carole, we live in Virginia and this will be our 3rd member cruise.

Wow we passed the one year mark and no fanfare here!!! Guess everyone is busy (myself included)! Can't wait to meet everyone next August. Some of our members who were on this weeks cruise will be back soon to share some of the secrets!!

We are off the ship today, at BCV now, on the patio, it's a beautiful night here, even a slight breeze.

The last night was Rock & roll! We had a great cabin, 8591, inside, we felt it was a good location position wise, but boy did we hear strange noises last night. Maybe the noise was from the crew area, but lots of creeks and bangs, I think we fell asleep after 1:30.... I am tired, but we thoroughly enjoyed SAB this afternoon.

Can't wait until next year, MCs are the friendliest!

How was the Broadway stars' show? I was sad to have missed this year's. Had a wedding in Pittsburgh... Did you get 2 bags from DVC? The blue one and the black one?

I am not a collector of gifts, so I often give away the gifts, but I will try to list what we got here:

First day...an insulated bag, about 2 1/2 feet high, 10" by 12" at the bast with a cold drink cub, a sand mat, a Member hat inside. Very light weight and roomy.

A Member Cruise Pin.

I know that you could also get little gifts from a DVC table in the main lobby...I only stopped there once to get 2 DVC postcards.

I was surprised not to receive the ordinary DVC Pirate Mickey pin the DVC gives out on regular cruises. I like that one..it's good to trade.

For the 2014 MC there were 4 CE groups. Lots of good stuff with interesting stories. A sponge candy invented in NY state, lots of yummy wild berry things from Idaho, also chocolate Idaho potato shaped candy, salt water taffy from NJ, taffy from Ohio, an assortment of Apple themed candies from the Big Apple, and so much more.

Orange TicTacks described as Olaf noses...very cute!

This year DVC scheduled a cook off between the cruise director and the VP of DVC that ended just after noon on the sea day, so it is hard to schedule a lunch meet on a 4 day cruise. Still is there any interest in trying for a meet for lunch? Or breakfast...either in Cabanas or in the sit down dining room?

There was only 1 cook off, but other programs were scheduled for various times, not just once. I stayed at the cook off because I was curious about the outcome, but also because I figured there would be a meet and it would be obvious. Well....it was not obvious, and Cabanas was quite crowded by the time I got there. Meet time was 11:50 before Cabanas opened....I did not get up there until 12:15.

I am not really into professional or college sports apart from having favorite teams. The 2 ESPN guys put on a good show 2-3 times, afternoons around 1. I was surprised how entertaining I found it. I cannot walk on sand, getting in or out of ocean is nearly impossible for me without much help, so I did not go on CC this trip. I have a cruise with DH in October, also with 2 stops in CC, so I will get my swimming in then. I was never bored on board during those days.

I have a Candy Exchange set up for out October cruise...am getting together another local candy assortment. We went out this morning for samples!

I would be interested in a breakfast meeting. I think that sounds like a great way to start a day!
How is your retirement going? Hope you are having a wonderful time!
We got a new kitten last week - so I have been busy trying to keep the peace with our other pets (cat and dog). The dog seems to be doing well - the cat - is a hit and miss. The kitten is taking everything well.
I have been researching candy from STL - I believe I have found a winner. Not much to pick from around here!
I seen on another thread a really cool thing to get autographed on the ship - a Mickey Mouse dinner plate! I am thinking of doing that - thought that was a really neat idea. Then I could display the plate in my kitchen and remember the cruise.
Let me know if you all get any interest in a breakfast meeting.

The fact that you are interested, I am...so we will try for one! Looking at the Navigators, on the first CC day, Cabanas opened for continental breakfast at 7 to 7:30.... Other offerings for breakfast there 7:30 to 10:45. Enchanted Garden's buffet from 8 to 10:30 and Royal Palace, sit down with menu 8-9:30. So, we have choices.

Your new kitten has a good home, it should work out.

Candy exchange is meant to be tasty fun!

Trying to sell our house is stressful, but we are managing. Thank you for asking.
