Bobbi,

I work on a rehab unit and see a lot of men do both knees, not many women. It's doable. Most men do it cause the pain is so bad they would never do the other (each one has said that). That being said, I think as women we handle pain so much better. I'll be praying for your recovery.

WOW Lynn, way to go!!!! You've got some really nice ressies there. We will only be there the weekend before the cruise so I don't have much planned and hoping staying concierge that the few requests I did make will come through.

Our plans are Ohana with friends Friday night and if any way possible BOG on Saturday (ANYTIME, lol). If not, we'll survive, just thought it wasn't open yet last time we were there.

We also have a one bedroom with a full kitchen to save some costs.

YEAH! Six months - time is going fast!
I hope you get BOG - I LOVE their lunch! I wanted to go again (we have been several times) - but lost the vote. So I tried to do a dinner (we have been to dinner once) - lost that vote too! I may try for a breakfast if they start their ADRs. I won't put that one up to a vote! I really love that castle. It is so pretty. They are to start taking ADRs for lunch - I believe at the end of Feb. At least that is the rumor I heard. I am sure you will get in and enjoy your lunch. I went early each time - it was not very crowded - so it was really nice to look around in all the rooms and take a ton of pictures!
I had to call Disney yesterday - My ADRs were not showing up in MY Disney Account - Could not link them either. I tried Sunday - Called - got nowhere with it - So I called yesterday - Got a really nice Cast Member (he was so funny) - he got them all straight. They were hung up in limbo! I couldn't book them online as it was not working - had to do them over the phone - not sure if that had anything to do with it. Thank God they are all straight and it only took about half hour! All is good!
So you all know how I wanted to stay at Bay Lake and could not get a Studio for Fri night (Thanks to listening to DH telling me to wait and see - never should have done that!) - Well I have been stalking the DVC site (I do have a waitlist going) and OMG - a studio came up and I jumped on it! I was so excited! I so love Bay Lake! So I get Friday night at Bay Lake!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is a standard view Studio - so not sure where that is - will need to look on the DIS thread of Bay Lake - I usually stay in a Lake View - but I am so happy to get anything in Bay Lake.

They are calling for SNOW - Tomorrow and Thurs , Sat, Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed - UGH - Will winter ever end?????? I am so done with Winter. Thank Goodness I am not Bobbi on a nice warm cruise - I WOULD NOT come back!!!!!!!

Lynn, oh my goodness, where do you live!!?? I don't want any more winter. We've not gotten much snow at all, thankfully, but it's been icy several times. I'm just over the really cold temps and would like some spring.

STL, MO - We don't get a lot - just enough to be a pain - once in a great while we will get a big storm. Last week-end it was freezing rain, sleet, and some snow - amounted to about 2 -3 inches. I hate the ice! My backyard is a skating rink - it is so much fun taking my dog out! I slid and fell tonight! Getting too old for that!

Oh no Lynn, hope you are ok. We got that same storm, snow, sleet, rain, ice. About six inches with a 1/4 inch of ice. Crazy. A couple weeks ago they were saying we were going to get 12-18 inches and got NOTHING, (literally went to bed, lots of schools closed and nothing!)

Did you get your BOG lunch ADR? They started taking them. I just looked and they have some open on 08/21 and 08/22. Are you making them or concierge? I always make mine since I am a control freak. I would be afraid they wouldn't get one even though I know they would as they are so good - but just can't let someone else do it - not even another member of my family! I guess they will starve if I don't do it! I refuse to cook on vacation ! I do it all the other times. If you want something buy it or make it yourself!

Hi Lynn!!!! WE GOT IT!!!! Actually I have two when I heard from a friend to 'try' again this afternoon and got right on through the online system, I booked it not knowing if concierge had gotten them. Then I got an email that they were able to book (and the later time I asked for). Now I'm going to have to decide which time slot I really want and cancel the other. I've never had someone else make my ressies before. The only other time we stayed concierge was the Grand Californian. Our first trip with points and only trip to DL. We didn't use the concierge for any services but enjoyed the lounge every day for snacks and light fare.

Lynn, our other ADR is Ohana!!! It's our 'tradition' place! We love it!

So excited, I have changed our Ohana reservation twice already, lol, adding on friends we are getting together with that evening (haven't seen four of them in two years, the other is more than three years). So friggen excited I could get a table for nine at 8:05 pm (my original ressie was for six at 8pm)!!! Also I cancelled our second BOG ressie as it would keep us from getting to see the parade. It's been too long since we've seen any that I want to soak it all in!!!

I have not done a Parade in ages - I really should do it this time! I always try to get the Fireworks! I so love them! I have the California Grill late enough that I should get the Fireworks while we eat! Of course I may faint from hunger waiting for dinner!
Are you going to go to the Villian Event if they offer it this Summer? it was such a big hit last year I expect them to do it again this year. I kind of want to do it. I have always enjoyed the parties at the Magic Kingdom - so I think I would like it. I really like the Mickey Halloween Party - I think that is my favorite one! I was thinking about doing something at the Spa - but then I thought maybe do it on the ship - but then thought No - do it at the hotel and get the DVC discount. Still debating what to do. Too many choices!
Well enjoy the rest of your evening! Mine could have gone better - Dog got sick - cleaned carpet and cleaned dog. Then the washing machine broke! UGH - it is one of those days! As Scarlett said in Gone with the Wind - I can't think about that right now. If I do my head will explode. I will think about that tomorrow. Tomorrow is another Day!

Is anyone planning on getting a Cabana on Castaway? We got one last time we were there and it was wonderful It was nice because we "shared" it with another couple. They used it the first half of day and we used it the last part of the day We would love to do that again if anyone is interested. When can we start booking excursions for CC? We are still silver... So we have a ways to go!

Lynn, We are excited to get together with friends. It's been two years since seeing two couples and three plus years for the other. I am so bad at changing our ADR's. I had to email the concierge team to let them know I had changed not one but BOTH of the only things I asked of them (and they did get exactly what I wanted, just changed my mind on the time of BOG and added people to Ohana). I'm so bad with the dining site.

I am not familiar with the Villian Event since we've not been there in a bit. Is it a special ticket thing? (I guess I could google it, lol). I definitely want to see the fireworks and we'll be meeting with a bunch from this cruise on Sunday night at TOTW Lounge to see Wishes and meet and greet.

I'd love to book some spa time on the ship but have been told by previous member cruise participants that there is SOOOOO much to do that you don't want to book yourself to busy.

Sorry to hear your dog was sick (then the washer broke, ugh!!!). We had our furbaby, Bella, to the vet Tuesday night as she just wasn't herself (not eating is a big deal to here, lol). Of course we get there and she asks fine, ugh! She did have an ear infection (and arthritis) but everyone who sees her tells us how bad her eyes are. She can't see hardly at all, but we knew this and that is why we adopted her. Our previous pug (Abbey, my avitar on here) went blind very quickly due to diabetes and then ruptured lense. So when the time came to adopt we automatically were drawn to a pug that had vision problems (we have an amazing vet eye doc).

Ok, I've written a book, can you tell, I'm excited to be off today, lol. I will officially start working as a nurse next pay cycle (starts 3/29) so I'll definitely be working to save up for this trip with the extra hours and much extra pay.

We have not rented a Cabana due to the steep cost. I would love to some day but don't think this will be the trip.

You can start booking excursions and Cabanas depending on which level of CC you are. This is our first trip as Gold and I think we can start booking at 105 days? (I'm really not sure)

Yes the Villain Event is a Special Ticket Event (of course)! I have heard (via Bobbi) that you will be very busy on the Cruise - another reason why I think I should Spa at the hotel.
I was laughing so hard when I read your part on ADRs - sounds so like me! You had two and have changed them! Too funny!
So nice that you adopted a special Dog! That is very sweet of you all as a lot of people would not do that! Is she eating now? My dog gets constant ear infections - we have a standing order for medicine for him - I just call when he gets one. He has skin/allergy issues - he is on allergy and steroids for it - it keeps it somewhat under control - he is not as bad as he use to be. He doesn't get as sick as he use to. He is a very happy hyper dog - I always say he is a special - he has ADD - he can't focus on anything but food! All my pets are rescue pets. I think I am going to have to replace my rugs - I can't find a cleaner than can remove the smell from my dog getting sick. If you know of one - please let me know - I have tried several - nothing seems to work and I have replaced lots of area rugs and one couch. I really hate to replace my rugs in my room - My room is themed after the Animal Kingdom Lodge and the rugs go with the theme - they will be very hard to replace. Just one more thing to add to the broken list - Along with DD car (this morning - engine light came on). Also this morning I am driving to work (all of 5 degrees) and at 6:10 AM and a bird hits my windshield! OMG - it is still dark outside and this bird is up flying around?? I think it was half frozen. Lucky for me it did not break my windshield! Shocked me! Stupid frozen bird!
So I get home tonight - and DH is going to get dinner and call me to call the police - we have a few houses that the bank owns - and someone pulled up with a trailer and was trying to get into one of the houses! I don't think this person should have been there! So I call the police and low and behold - they show up at my house at the same time DH gets home with dinner - ready to arrest DH! Amazing how well they got that straight! I had a heck of a time explain to the police wrong house - you passed it on the way to my house!!!!!! Now this would be the 5th time I have spoken or had the police at my house this month! OMG - this is a record! I am getting tired of seeing the police! Just for the record - I am a Trustee of my subdivision so not all calls are for my house - but several have been - - stolen gas from DD car / police report IRS - someone filed under our SS # and my DD boyfriend phone that keeps dialing the police by mistake! Those of course are in the middle of the night! Just a crazy month! I will be glad when it is over!
2-4 inches of snow starting tomorrow! I AM SO SICK OF WINTER - When does it ???????????????

I am so jealous of Bobbi on a cruise right now. We have record cold again tomorrow but as of right now no snow (might see a wintery mix Sunday evening and of course I work evening shift so driving home about midnight is not fun in yucky weather). I laughed about your dog description (and read it to hubby). All of our dogs but one has been rescues or SPCA adopted. (our very first pug was purchased as a puppy), never again, we only rescue now (but we had her for 13 years so can't complain). We have my pug; an English Bulldog and a 'crazy cat'! They keep us busy between special foods or medicines.

Well I better get to bed, got a long weekend of work ahead of me. Been great chatting with you Lynn. I'll try and check in tomorrow before I head out.
