DVC Member Card

I bought at SSR this February (yay!), but I never received a DVC Member card with my membership #. Should I have received one? I'm assuming I would need it to get into the special events, DVC rest stops (such as the top of Imagination Pavilion),to buy Tables in Wonderland...etc. Or, is everything stored on MDE and can be accessed through the Magic Band?

Did you buy resale or direct? If direct you can order the blue card on website (generally it can take 2+ months for it to be delivered) or use the digital version to access the perks you've listed.

If you bought resale it is only a white digital card and the entitlements you get with that card is: pool hopping, top of the world and DVD rentals. I might have missed 1 but those are big ones it provides.

I'm 99% sure they don't send one automatically. You need to order your member cards here:

To second what @stewart715 stated you have to order your card. Also the digital version will function fine in place of the physical one if you don't receive in time. I just screenshot the page as it suggests to limit having to login to view it each time I need to present it.

I've been waiting since January for mine (requested 3 times now). But others have reported receiving theirs much faster.

Some people have had issues presenting the digital card (even though it is 100% valid). Some cast members just have the wrong information about digital card being as valid as a physical card. If you do face any issues, just request to speak to a leader. When you order your card, it will come in a nice white box with some car magnets and a bunch of little welcome home cards/information.

Haha, honestly, I might just order another set of cards because it does take so long to get sometimes. If I ever lost mine, would be nice to have a fresh backup.

Be sure and update it periodically. I believe the digital version shows an expiration approximately three months out.

My cards were in a white DVC envelope. Nothing in the envelope except a piece of paper telling me these are my membership cards. I would have liked getting more magnets. My wife is constantly losing hers in the car wash.

Ours were in the white DVC envelope as well no little white box or magnets, although we did get 2 DVC magnets last year when we bought resale .

what date would the physical card have? We bought AKV and as you stated the card has an expiration of 9-3-19. i ordered a physical card a few days ago. Also, my digital card has my name. I would like to order my husband a card also. Does he need to "set up" a DVC account also? The deed is in both of our names. Our cards will be blue like the digital version right?

I received my blue card a few months ago and it expires on 12/31/21. I have absolutely no idea why...

My wife is also on the deed, but I only received one card with my name on it. When it came in, I told my wife to order her own, but has yet to arrive.

DVC sent new cards to all owners in 2016, and they all expire in 2021 (five years later). I think they plan to send new cards to everyone again in 2021.

I've been waiting about 8 weeks since I ordered via the online link. I sent an email on Friday just to see if it was being processed, and I received an email back Saturday saying that, there had been issues around the time I was ordering with the system, and that mine was not showing. Member services then sent a follow up email saying they put in for my wife and I to get our cards and that they should be here in 4 weeks, and to use the digital card in the interim if we have an upcoming trip planned.
