How will I know when the DVC meeting for members is -vs- the DVC meetings they are having to try and get new members?

I saw in the navigators that there were DVC meets every day, I would assume they are mini sales pitches, do they do a meeting that is just geared toward current members?

Sailing this SATURDAY!!! :cool1: :cool1:

If you are sailing on points there will be an invitation waiting for you in your room. If you aren't sailing on points just go to the DVC desk on deck 4 and introduce yourself. They will tell you when to come. The meeting for members is usually on Sunday morning.

Enjoy!

Enjoy!

We'll be sailing on our first DCL cruise this December. Just wondering if I ought to bother attending the DVC members meeting onboard. What happens in these meetings?

at the dvc get together they have refreshments and tell you about new benefits and just have some fun, while getting you to think about adding on. it is a good way to get dvc merch. on our cruise they asked dvc questions and gave out various prizes after drawing names and i think every family ended up with something. everyone wanted the beach towels, but there were only a couple, i got a photo album. everybody got ballcaps and lanyards for their whole party, and they had an unlimited supply of luggage tags.

i went back to the sales meeting a couple of days later and they pulled my name again for a tote bag, it couldn't have been for the on board credit.

Pogo spelled it out pretty well. At the Members meeting you get greated with a hat and lanyard for everyone in your party as well as a raffle ticket. The ones we've been too they have also had small sand buckets for those with kids. There is coffee, tea, juice and pastries (it is a morning meeting). They they will play a game by pulling those raffle numbers and asking a question. If your number is pulled you are a winner because they let anyone help you with the answer. :) They are basic questions about the resorts and travel options. They have prizes like tote bags, beach towels, photo albums, etc. On our last cruise we didn't win but still had a good time and our friends did win.

Later in the cruise there will be a couple of meetings for those interested and they welcome DVC members to attend those as well. This is more an info meeting but can still be fun. They do pull for a few prizes and I once won a DVC fanny pack with water bottle at one.

Thanks for the information! I think we'll plan to attend the meeting.

is this meeting offered on every cruise or just members cruise..

The DVC meetings are on all 7 day cruises on the Magic. They are not on the shorter cruises on the Wonder. Not sure if they will be on the 10 and 11 day cruises on the Wonder but i would think they would be.

Thanks for the info everyone, I will be looking for my invite in my room, as I booked on points.

I did nto book on points so will I still get invited??
