With the new DVC Lounge going in,could this provide some optimism for a return of the Passholder Lounges sometime in the future?

This is a member perk for the 25th Anniversary of the Disney Vacation Club. Based on the wording, it will close at the end of this year.

You get very flew perks for being an AP holder other than getting into the park as often as you like, so I doubt they are looking to expand anything to give APs extras.

To Disney's way of thinking, AP Holders are a necessary evil and every year they figure out more and more ways to carve back the benefits of ownership. So I doubt that they are furiously trying to enhance the experience with a lounge or anything else for that matter.
