Just a cautionary tale regarding license plate frames. We live in NJ so not sure about other states but a few years ago my son got stopped by police because the license plate frame partially covered half of the lettering on the bottom of the plate where "New Jersey" was listed. He got a ticket without points as not a moving violation but the insurance company sees the ticket and still counts it against the driver when renewing. The law has since be relaxed in NJ to as long as you can still read the lettering you will not get a ticket. That said not sure how other states view frames that partially cover the plates especially with out of state drivers.
