what do you think about to have DVC resorts in europe?

i'm from spain and i know Disneylan paris and they can do some villas at two hotels in paris (Sequoia Lodge and New port Bay) and they are going to do something call The Nature villages where they can do another one.

i think this help to the people like me that are from europe, and help Disneyland Paris to grow and show people in europe that you can spend your vacations thera doing different things and is not only for children.::MickeyMo

Japan is too far for a little one (DD 5 ) from the US, and France, well...

The French hate us Americans.

I'd love to go to a Disney in other parts of Europe, where they like Americans.

I'd settle for a greater variety of world passport resorts. DW want's to go to London. With kids, we'd need a 1br at least. There doesn't seem to be any options for us.

But great for us Canadians! Many of us retain at least some rudimentary French from our school days. Looking forward to DD4's 1st Disney experience at Disneyland Paris in September -- just hope they can hold off on the bankruptcy sale until then. :p

Ola DVCspain,
unfortunately I think the slow sales away from WDW mean any resorts outside Orlando are unlikely. Also Disney themselves only own a minority part of Disneyland Paris. While it would be a nice sideline I don't think there would be enough interest to make it a worthwhile option. There is already a timeshare option at DLP (Mariott) so again it would make it difficult for DVC to sell at this destination.

HOLA!

here in europe there's a lot of people who believe in Disney magic so i think it would be great to give them that oportunity and start to change the mind in europe that Disney is only for children

Mariott have a tie up with Disney selling Mariott timeshares and therefore its unlikely Dvc will ever take place there.

I would love to see DVC at Disneyland Paris. DW and I stayed at Newport Bay for our honeymoon and had a blast. We loved the resorts and the Magic Kingdom (esp. Space Mountain which is probably the best Disney ride I've ever been on). It would be so nice to have a villa to relax in b/c the standard hotel rooms are small, and the food options are rather expensive even by Disney standards. The points seem to keep rising for the hotels to the point where we have to use more than a year's points to stay for a week, which was not the case five years ago. We also liked it b/c of the ease with which you could take the train into Paris, which we did almost every day. We found the CM's to be very hospitable, especially to those of us who know about ten French phrases in total. Even if DVC doesn't ever appear in Marne la Vallee' people really should check out DLP at least once, it's a fabulous place. Keeping my fingers crossed.

PS - Anyone know why there are no hotel options for DVC Members at Tokyo Disneyland? If they ever add some, I'm there. :D

Our guide told us that Disney sold their name and their design expertise to Asian investors and they own no part of the Tokyo parks.

Is that the same scenario with Hong Kong?
