We have been to Hilton Head twice, and really enjoyed the activities there!

It's a 17 hour drive and after our trip there 8 weeks ago, my husband said it's just too far to drive for a week--so next year we're going to go for two weeks!

My question is--has anyone been there for two weeks, and are the exact same activities repeated each week, or do they change up the presentations and activities each week?

Edit: I should add that we went to everything offered by Christopher, the resort Naturalist, and these are the activities in particular that I'm wondering about changing up over 2 weeks.

Two weeks--that's gonna be a lot of smores and cheeky cheeky!! :cool1:

Although we've never been for two weeks, I know the same activities aren't offered every week. Two years ago (our first trip there) they faxed me the weekly activity schedule a few weeks before we got there. I remember that a couple activities sounded particularly interesting and I was anxious to try them out. When we checked in, I looked, and the activities I wanted weren't offered the week we were there. Later I talked to ?(can't remember her name-the recreation director?) and she said that not all activities are offered every week.
I've thought of going for 2 weeks-please post when you get back and let us know your impressions.

I can't answer your question but I've thought about spending more than a week at HH. I think I would be SO relaxed by the time we left, it would be great. As we always go in July, I can't imagine my family getting bored. We love the beach, book, bikes, and everything else HH offers.

I'm with Simba's Mom -- anxious to hear how two weeks goes.

Have a great trip!

You can always take some time out to visit the low country of South Carolina or cross the river and tour Savannah. Savannah is beautiful and there are many different activities and tours to enjoy.

Thanks for the replies. It's not until next October--but inquiring minds are starting to think and dream now!

I still have to pinch myself to believe we're actually going for 2 weeks! Our family loves DVC HH so much! It's our 9 year old daughter's favorite place on the planet. She'd choose DVC HH over WDW in a heartbeat (and lucky for us it's a lot less expensive once you get there than going to the parks!)

Simba's mom, your experience put together with others comments leads me to understand there are at least a few changes from week to week. I think as soon as we get down there we can talk to the activities person or naturalist (hope it's still Christopher!) and see if they can give us a two week activity schedule so we can make plans accordingly.

We love to do everything the resort has to offer--so if it was going to be the the same for both weeks we wouldnt' want to have 'done it all' in the first week--we'd pace ourselves then--but if things change we wouldn't want to miss anything either!

Great idea about Savannah--it always seemed like a good idea, but when we have stayed for a week we found we never wanted to leave the resort for even a day--there was always something we wanted to do there. Next year would be the perfect time to try venturing to Savannah.

Oh, I can't wait!!! :Pinkbounc

My boys would too. Although they love WDW, nothing compares to HH. We've been the last 4 summers and they always want to know when we are going back to HH (eventually they inquire as to when we are going to WDW). It really is the best family vacation.

We love Hilton Head too! I would be in heaven if we could stay for two weeks. What a great trip you are going to have. I hate that we have to wait almost an entire year to go back for Thanksgiving week of 2005!
