Dvc gold ap question

Ok I am an associate member on the account dad is in the process of adding my sister and I as owners

In the past I have had no issues being able to buy and use dvc discount tickets Pre magic band they would ship them to mom and dad post mb we just linked them and we're able to use them no issue

I am getting married and one of the things we have asked for is ap for us

One of her family members has said they will pay for them

We don't plan on going during black out dates and it will let me add them to my cart our next two planed trips are Sept 17 (this trip will be a cash trip non dvc hope to use ap discount on the room) and may 18 so dad should have all the work done so I have a membership card but my wife to be won't have a membership card but I won't have a membership card before we book our cash stay and may not before discounts are opened up

Has any one had any experience with associates using the ap or activating one for some one on the trip who isn't a member

AP discounted rooms can be booked prior to having the APs - you just need to get them on that trip.

And as long as you are married and an owner in the contracts by the time of your trip then an immediate family member (your wife) qualifies for DVC discounted APs. They do not have to be an owner or even an associate - just have an ID indicating they live at the same place as you.

The few ticket offers that have occurred over the years have often been able to be purchased by owners for other people. APs have always been different than that.
